Sasuke had a concept behind him. Granted the Uchiha are all shit, but he had something to go on, giving out powers based on deities and wanted everyone to care about the murderous retarded brain-damage superpowered clan of assholes.
I may not have shared his flame for them, and in fact my enjoyment of a chapter was inversely proportional to the amount of sharingan bullshit going on, but it's clear he cared like giving an Uchiha a new power was the only thing that could give him an erection anymore.

Naruto himself was the main hero, and he very much had a concept behind him. Sure he had his iconic attacks and various power ups that tended to tie into whatever bits of plot were around at the time and not much more, but all of that sprung in one way or other from that concept.
I don't think Kishi cared quite as much about him as he did about the Uchiha, but what he gave him tended to be fairly meaningful nonetheless.

Then there was Sakura, who may not have been a secondary character, but fucking hell she's been better off as one. It would have saved her some dignity or something.
Her real problem was that she was nothing. There were no concepts, ideas connected to her at all besides a girl who is NOT cute - which, hate her as much as I might, is blatantly false in terms of looks - and being the show's smart person until it was Shikamaru's turn to be that, so she couldn't fill that niche.
All she ever was was a mini-Tsunade without the tits.

Sauce had his White Snake/Curse Mark shit and Nardo his Sage Mode, which they used a fair bit, but they both had more to rely on for inspiration for new things to do.

On one hand, I really like the Part I power levels displayed throughout most Boruto, and feel that Naruto fell off the cliff after it became DBZ, when any pretext of strategy or of it being about ninjas went out the window. Where's the file you're currently saving across? Cause if there isn't one in the Steamapps folder, there could be on somewhere in Documents. A lot of games put their saves there because it's not under Program Files, and so has much more lenient read/write ownerships.

The only time he even attempted to show anything was when she got the shit kicked out of her by Squad Dosu, Sasuke wakes from his Cursed Seal coma and demands to know who hurt her, before going full HAM on Zaku. I guess you could also construe his restraint when he left Konoha to be his twisted version of kindness - knocking her the fuck out so she didn't have to watch him walk away. Although that was also to get her to just shut the fuck up, so there was probably no actual feeling behind it.

Other than pretty much that one time, he's been apathetic at best, and violent at worst.

He seemed pretty eh about her in the Gaiden, the only praise he handed out was that she 'could probably handle herself' against a psychopath who had kidnapped her and have psychic control over weaponry.

They seemed pretty at ease with each other at the end of the Boruto movie. They were close together, and Sasuke wasn't, you know, actively recoiling from her. We'll need to wait for the Boruto manga to see if Assistant-kun will strike out on his own and make Sasuke more human, or if he'll follow Kishimoto's path and keep him as a turbo-autist.

It's Space-Time Ninjutsu, and it's technically a reverse-summon, as the user summons themselves to the mark, similar to when the Toads reverse-summoned Naruto to Mount Myokubou.

So I guess, on paper, it IS a summoning technique, but there's no usual blood pact needed like you do for larger summons.
