I've exhausted all of the quests in stonetalon and done the one where you kill the nelfs in ashenvale but all of the quests I have now spanning multiple zones are all orange and red.

I don't understand how people can think Legacy servers will be coming out anytime soon. Blizzard are known notoriously in the industry as being absolutely horrendous with release times. If they do decide to finally do legacy servers - even after admitting they were only interested in doing retail servers but without heirloom gear - It would take well over a year before they decided how to go about legacy servers and to perfect every script for every quest, dungeon, class, raid, etc.

Do you think blizzard would just slap their name on shitty nostalrius scripts and release legacy servers? They would need to hire a new team and go about archiving every old boss fight and quest to get it scripted well enough they would be comfortable releasing under their name.

Scripts don't vanish with each expansion. Even if they didn't have archives of vanilla code (which would be retarded), they had vanilla raids pretty much untouched for a while, so their scripts are probably in other expansions.
