/dsg/, I need help:

What the fuck is the Profaned Flame? It's not a normal fire, it's not black fire, it's not Chaos, it's not anything. If Yhorm became a Lord to extinguish it, why did him doing so cause the Profaned Flame to destroy the place? Why does it only burn human flesh? It obviously didn't work, either, the Flame is still around.

Is starting Pyromancy Flame the only version in the game?

So let me get this straight. You took the hardest enemies in the game, pumped them up, made them come in groups, and gave them healing, buffing helpers.
One-shot Pontif, three-shot Dancer, one-shot Ocelot, probably would have three or four shot Champion by now if I could be assed with that run back, and then these random ass knights kill me over a dozen fucking times.

No. You can fuck right off with that. Either the invader stops them before they reach it or they can eat shit. You don't get to trap someone in a game with you.

What really needs to be fixed for invasions is the number of summons a host can pull out during it. Lock it to 3 at most with a dried finger and it will all be fine. That way the host only gets the three phantoms he summoned and if they die he is shit out of lock and has to deal with the invader by himself.

Poise is just a general problem that needs to be fixed and made more useful than not at all.

And it's impossible to stop someone making a beeline for the boss room because they can spam roll and there's nothing you can do to interrupt them. Most dash attacks are too slow, spells are ineffective and even if you sit by the fog gate it's so easy to avoid you.

So I I've been thinking on what Frampt and Kaathes true motives are. They have been clearly pulling the strings since the beginning, and are still alive and working behind the scenes even in 3. But we still don't know what is it that they want?

Since theyre imperfect dragons, they obviously hate them due to their power over them, and don't want the immortal dragons to come back and take over once again. Other creatures are far easier to manipulate. That's why they twist and steer everyone towards light and dark, either way it doesn't matter, so long as the cycle continues the age of dragons wont return. They control everything so long as the unending loops of fire and dark continue, and they control it's flow behind the scenes. They will prevent mortals from learning how to break the cycle at all costs.

And it's not about deserving a fight. It's about stupid tactics that ruin the point of invasions in the first place. When most of my invasions end in the first 30 seconds because the host can just beeline to the boss room, that's not invasion. That's wasting my time. And there is no such thing as roll catching when they're running and rolling from you, especially when each hit deals pathetically low damage at the lower-SLs.
