People've told me the hollows that turn into the giant snake whatevers are good for early T. Shard farming, but after like two drops they've both stopped dropping anyhting altogether. Same with the Knights near Vordt--all they drop are their setpieces, now.

Their damage is ok, but they only get D/D/D/D scaling even at +5, so no matter how much you level up, the damage won't get any better.

Not very. They require severe buffing--the best are Pyromancies, follotwed by Miracles, and then Sorceries. Most enemies are weak to fire and then to lightning, just like every DS game.

You'll always do more damage with melee or even bows, though.

When is FROM going to release a PC patch to fix some of the optimization issues? Getting really annoyed at the random frame drops eating my inputs. I get 50-60FPS in most areas but every minute or two the framerate will drop down to like 10.

to the guy who said how to transfer saves over steam accounts. i havent tried it myself but try the DaS2 method.

open the game,
go into the game and create a new character,
go out and let the game save,
enter the load character screen, not the main menu screen
paste the save you want over the new save you just created,
go back into the game still on the load character screen (if you didnt do this the load game option will be greyed out),
load one of the characters,
you will most likely get an error,
go out of the game again,
make a new character again,
enter the game till the first point where you can play,
go out again,
now other saves should be playable


this is what i did in DaS2 and it work every time without any external programs or any ile corruption. give it a go if u want.

All you need is the Gem for infusing. You can start with the Fire Gem and have a Fire weapon the moment you enter Firelink.

i literally cannot beat abyss watchers. I've never had this much trouble with a boss in any game I can remember. He is completely invulnerable from my perspective. What am I missing/doing wrong? I'm using ass crest shield and irithyll straight sword + 2. I haven't been able to learn anything about him really. I get to his second phase easy enough through playing defensively, but when I try to go offensive during 2nd phase he just butt rapes me every time. I can't dodge enough and still maintain an offense.

So outlevel it, put yourself at about 22 VGR and 18 endurance.

What the fuck do you have 24 STR at this level for? Consider remaking the character. Abyss Watchers is only a hiccup for those who planned poorly.

Up until abyss watchers you should only have enough STR to equip your weapon, focus all other souls into VGR and END, after abyss you can branch off into more STR or a stat for spells.
