Could anyone explain to me why the meta is going to be SL125 again, and not SL130-35? It makes no sense.

Starting classes are about 5 levels higher. You need a lot more Attunement for the same number of slots. You'll also need a little VIT if you are a heavy build.

It makes absolutely no sense that the level meta would stay the same where you simply need to be a little higher. The fact that the starting classes are higher alone should be enough to push a SL130 meta.

You need to read the item descriptions, keep speaking to NPCs repeatedly. They say different things as the game goes on.

It's intentionally meant to be confusing, though. Miyazaki said he based the whole experience on his experience of reading English fantasy novels with only a frail grasp on the language. Spear is underrated, at least earlygame. As a little tip, if you meet an enemy that seems overwhelming, try just jabbing away at him. They get stunned pretty easily. I've heard people say that the same enemy didn't get stunned easily with other wepaons.

Your heal spell is a bit crap but it's a nice safety net to just top your health out when exploring.

When he moves to blast fire just duck back behind the wall and wait for him to sit.

The fire DoT won't get you as long as you're behind the wall and not too far past it.

There's Ring of Favor which gives extra HP, Stamina and Equip load, but it's less equip load than Havel's.

There's also the Ring of the Embedded or whatever they call it now that gives 5 VIG, VIT and END, but you take more damage.
