After hearing about the weapon, I wanted to make my first character a luck build.

I think I've got the hollow infusion figured out now.

When infused, the weapon loses some base damage but usually (not always) gets a boost to Strength and Dexterity scaling, but to a lower degree than Heavy, Sharp, or Refined. Hollow weapons will also boost your Luck stat when you have 15 or more hollowing, to as much as +5 more Luck when fully upgraded. This combined with the boosted Str/Dex scaling will make the weapon within +/-1 AR of how strong it was uninfused.

However, the Luck scaling on Hollow weapons is fucking terrible, worse than the Str/Dex scaling in all cases. Therefore, weapons with Hollow are only ideal for damage when you've already softcapped Strength and/or Dexterity and have room to invest in Luck, which is well beyond the scope of SL120 pvp or common invasion ranges. The only use of a Hollow weapon below SL150-200 would be if you're really, really insistent on using status effects and want a weapon that scales with Luck so you don't have to invest 40 into Dexterity and/or Strength. An argument could be made for a quality-esque build using 40dex/40lck and using Hollow versions of weapons that would normally be pure Dexterity scaling, but even then Refined with 40str/40dex would simply get more damage, which is more immediately useful for killing people and enemies.

They need a catalyst with scaling in both Intelligence and Faith or they do shit damage, but instead of scaling with the lowest of Int or Fth they just scale with both. There's a softcap on it though, and you'll generally get more per point out of even investment than you would out of single investment.

He reached phase 2 a couple of times before and got destroyed. He seems to have figured out the method, though. He gets tonnes of rfree hits whenever it resummons the clone, baits the clone away and kills it. What makes blocking tricky is that the pointiff's weapons do fire and magic damage respectively. There's no good shield at this point which blocks both well and the chip damage will add up quickly because of the multihit combos.

You can't really block phase 2 at all because the double-up will guardbreak you really fast.

BB's framerate was cancer at some points. I swear Ludwig took me twice as long as he had any right to because the sword particle effects in phase 2 murdered my PS4

If you're playing lots of bloodborne to keep you busy until dark souls comes out, you might wanna boot up dark souls 1 or 2 for a while and play them to avoid silly mistakes like two-handing a weapon when you need to heal. Or swinging your shield when you need to two-hand.
