I drink. In fact, I'm getting inebriated right now. Months ago I lost my job and have been having a hard time finding a new one. A short time after losing my job, I downloaded Undertale because everyone said it was life changing or whatever. "It can be that good," i thought. And sure enough, I was right. The game is great, sure, but it didn't make me experience the rapture or anything. In fact, I've become even more depressed.

I now realize I'll never make something great, and I'll never be apart of anything worthwhile. I actually outlined a story for an an indie game once, but soon came to the numbing realization that, much like every other venture I had ever undertook, I was shooting too high and was destined to fall. I gave up. I can't code, nor do I know the first thing about game development. I've been told I have great ideas, but I know that's all they'll ever be. I'm just going to become complacent, find another job, then get drunk whenever those cold thoughts of self loathing and disenchantment rear their ugly heads.

To be honest, I don't really like Asriel. It feels very clumsy that they had a monster like Flowey who was presented a genuine problem to the pacifist ideals that the game was preaching: Someone literally incapable of reforming their ways. Someone capable and has committed atrocities at their own whims and is immune to mercy. Yet, the pacifist ending brings in Asriel as a replacement of him (since doing the Omega fight twice would be dissapointing) who is the "true" villain, despite not appearing in the story until the last area. It just feels like Asriel was made as a way to answer for the sins of the Flowey character, despite Flowey being a more interesting take on how unflinching pacifism is bad. The fact that Asriel has to say that pacifism against monsters like he was is bad is laughably hypocritical since this pacifism is what allowed him to atone for his mistakes.
