I'm looking for advice for a tough situation. Recently I decided to join a raiding guild on Proudmoore. I found out after joining that it also happens to be a mostly LGBT guild - I considered finding another guild but I thought maybe it would be a nice change of pace. I've been raiding with them a month or two and I can't say how glad I am for sticking around - my perspective of LGBT people has changed a lot and I've made some really good friends.

One of the guild officers in particular, a young man around my age, has started getting really attached to me and barrages me with messages every time I log in. It's a little annoying but I don't mind since he doesn't have anyone he can openly talk to and I just have to pretend to listen while he rambles on. Sometimes he gets really emotional e.g. starts crying but even then he's not too much trouble to deal with. One day however he mentioned that he had a lot of gold and I thought how easy it would be to trick him into buying me things that I always wanted but could never get due to being lazy. Well, one thing led to another and that's exactly what happened! I started flirting with him to improve my chances and unfortunately it's starting to get out of control.

Since then he's started acting like we're partners to everyone in the guild, introduced me to his sister through voice chat, harasses me to add him on Facebook and has talked about meeting me in real life. I definitely do not want to meet him or go any further with our "relationship" but I'm worried might happen if I tell him the truth. I don't want to break his heart but I don't want to have to find a new guild either, and I'd be lying if I said I don't enjoy all the free stuff.

What should I do?

It's going to backfire in their face so hard when they realize that casuals have no commitment to the game and will leave after 1-2 months even if the game is "good" in their eyes. Because they have lives and other games to play.

If you aren't a total retard, you would have noticed that as the game got progressively easier, the subs dropped tremendously. WotLK had a ton more depth to the classes compared to now. WoD had pruning and was easier than MoP, and lost millions.

Legion will do the same, soon after the initial hype train is over just like for WoD. You'll see.
