You have to play Gardevoir different from most of the cast. Her close range is garbage so you have to do anything to keep them away. She's all about long range mindgames between Future Sight, Psychic, Magical Leaf, Energy Ball, and then a Dazzling Gleam or Stored Power if they can manage to close the gap.

This is the good thing about Harada's game design. In Tekken, there are definitely tier lists and the tier lists do matter, but there are players of all characters in Tekken. There isn't just a few characters that dominate the top. There will definitely be top tier pokemon in this game, but it won't make lower tier pokemon unplayable. It won't be like Smash where Sheik can destroy 80% of all the competition without recourse.

I'm new to fighting games in general but I feel like if you're bringing a new fighting game over for the first time you wont really have the budget to make like 30 characters straight off, right?

Enhanced gives her moves more power and special properties.

Up+A while enhanced, for example, paralyzes for a free follow up combo (which means in enhanced mode yyyy paralyzes)

In terms of command grabs the stunner and net grabs function differently on the attack triangle.

The net is a grab (you glow green) and beats counters. The stunner is actually a counter-attack, you glow blue and you have super armor. The grab portion of it is actually just an animation that plays if the last hit of the spin hits a grounded opponent.

Field phase is usually pretty free for Libre vs Zoners as long as you have good reactions. Quick attack and agility go right through projectiles when spaced properly and you can dive kick from basically across the arena.

It's hard to say because some characters are basically built for zoning but others can zone effectively depending on the matchup.

For example, Pikachu can zone pretty well but he rarely needs to unless it's a scary pokemon like Machamp.

If you want a mostly pure zoner your best bets are Suicune, Chandelure, and Gardevoir. Other characters who are above average at zoning but don't slouch in close range are Pikachu, both Mewtwos, Braixen, and maybe Gengar.

Friendly reminder that this game is pokemon thus aimed at children, play whoever the fuck you want.

He has a lot of tricks but most of them have pitiful range or speed. Meanwhile, other characters have lasers that span the entire stage in an instant. So playing him as a zoner probably won't work out great because he's going to be forced to rush people down a lot of the time.

What's the general opinion of Mewtwo? What's his skill cap like? I play Weavile now but I just tried Mewtwo and he's tons of fun. I'm considering picking him up but not sure what his skill ceiling is and even if it is lower than the other mons if it will make a big difference.

Mewtwo is an all-around fighter it seems, decently strong projectiles, good Duel Phase combos, etc but can easily be punished if you miss his powerful stuff like Hyper Beam

Shadow Mewtwo has no health and its attacks drains it so requires a lot of good decisions.

Gardevoir is full keepaway and if the opponent gets close will have a bad time. Is not as bad as people say, as you have to know how to face rushdown players.

Gengar has the slowest sinergy but also the strongest. So you'll rely on crossup tools until then.
