Here are some really dumb questions:

I just got EmuNand, but already have my NNID on SysNand and heard to use TinyFormat. I just used it and now it's like I just got my 3DS and am setting it up. Is that how its supposed to be? I don't want anything messed up since I'm just doing what my guide says without actually understanding it.
Also, how do I tell whether SysNand or EmuNand was just formatted?

I'm the guy from the last thread who updated in emunand using system settings.

I'm planning on hacking my 3ds as soon as my 32gb SD cards arrives, I just have a few questions I can't find answers for anywhere.

I downgraded my 3ds a few months ago (I'm on 9.0.something), when it was first happening, and I didn't bother to do any of the follow ups. I'm at the point now that I can boot right into the Homebrew loader when I hold L on startup. Can someone take a look at my root menu and tell me what I can get rid of before I start? I hope they turn out good. Their track record isn't looking very well though. I don't mind that much about them bringing new pokemon or not, but rather what new things they'll come up with, because I mostly play pokemon for the singleplayer adventure (I don't stay for post game for very long).

X/Y brought a lot to the table but also took a few steps back (the story, characters, EXP system, legendary encorperation). I enjoyed character customization, PSS, the new 3d environment and models, exploring and familiarizing myself with Lumiose city, the looker sidequest, and all the little easter eggs.

OR/AS was a disappointment though. It took a lot from X/Y so it didn't have much new, and the things that were new (dexnav, soaring) didn't interest me for long. And it seemed like they had no intent to fix the EXP system that BW2 already perfected.

I'm hoping they go all out for Sun/Moon. Give us a ton of new features that'll surprise us, lots of desirable features, look back on what made all the past games so great and build on it instead of removing it, give us more convenience for repetitive tasks, and if they decide to make a gimmick, it should be incorporated well and not be some last minute thing they shoved in.

Personally, I wouldn't mind a, sort of, surface move register for each Pokemon. Every Pokemon gets 2 or 3 move slots that don't get used in battle but are reserved for field moves - this would open up a lot more opportunities for, say, conversation mechanics (where you get a boost for a psychic pokemon learning some move).

My story was that I needed browserhax to install oothax and the sploitinstaller from the starter.zip kept failing. I had to look for a different alternative installer for oothax and the whole thing took like 9+ hours just for this one part. fuckin having a not browserhax entrypoint is a blessing.

You could use "E" and "S", but those look too much alike if you're in a hurry, especially with small icons.

So I'm just now finding out that rxTools is officially the meme CFW in terms of aggravating update attempts. By which I mean, I need to update my 3DS so I can get around the online/friends list restrictions I'm currently being hit with since it's prompting for a system update. And I apparently need to update rxTools to that really iffy beta 3.0 version 2 before I can safely bump up my emuNAND to 10.7.

And after two hours of trying to do so, I am back to square one. I don't know if I did something wrong with the keyx files, the python firmware, or what. But it sure as hell wasn't agreeing with my N3DS, no sir. Now I'm left scratching my head at what to do next.

That's a really old and simple proof-of-concept randomizer, pk3DS does much more. It can work with anything that can overwrite stuff: with HANS, with the NTR LayeredFS plugin, with a custom game .cia or theoretically with a custom game update (but I don't think it supports loading a patched code.bin so I'm not sure if all of the randomizers will work).

I thinked i fucked something up. 3ds was working fine after downgrading and installing cfw but week later after i boot my 3ds, instead of going straight to emunand, my screen is full of this coloured shit. What do?

I've been thinking about pulling updates from the eshop for any region game, while I would prefer a memory patch similar to signature patching to bypass title-update region locks, we would do well to have a program to pull them down from the servers for us and craft them into viable .cia to install, hell since we're on the console might as well just go ahead and install them right away.
From a purely copy-paste perspective most of the code required is already there, title analysis from JK, http code from homebrew launcher, installation from fbi.
It's a spinoff from the title downloader discussed yesterday, but purely for shit that doesn't need title keys, like updates.

I fucked up and forgot to take out my saves from the emunand before changing to sysnand (Forgot that my sysnand had another NNID linked to it) - with the new method. Lost all my saves, DLC, games, etc.

Any way to fix up that? I have no emuNAND now, and I didn't back it up. I just have the 'Nintendo 3DS' folder, an old emuNAND backup (from 2/3 days ago) and emuNAND's CTR backup.

Please help.
