I also started kinda playing for the first time not that long ago. I mean I have played it before, but never for long, because I got distracted and shit.
Make a build so that you have ~30 to 40 points in a weapon profession at the start, and kill rats, kwama and all kind of shit to level up it.
Also bound weapons fortify the appropriate skill by 10 points, so that's also a good way to improve your hit chances at the beginning.
I made some kind of battlemage build if that matters.

Also, you get Character levels if you accumulate 10 advances in mayor and minor skills for that character

You only need the CK if you want the Merge Plugins program to handle script fragments, and that's optional. You can just not merge mods with scripts.

man, vivid weathers looks great sometimes. my game was looking a little dead without it.

So, i just started the Dawnguard questline, saved Selena, and now Count Dracula wants to make me a vampire.

Should i accept it? I remember playing as a vampire was shit in Oblivion because of the sunlight and having to feed on people all the time, and how no one would ever want to speak with you again.

I'm thinking of making some kind of melee + magic character. It's either 1h+magic or 2h+magic. I'm kind of leaning towards 2h sword, but wouldn't 1h+magic be more sensible? I mean with 1h weapon you can still do some damage with magic in the second hand. At the same time if I'm going to be casting magic it might as well be from both hands right? I'm indecisive as fuck.

There a few mods you could try for 2h+magic. Smart Cast and Grimy Utilities both let you set things up to cast a spell when you press a hotkey, so you don't have to unequip your two-handed weapon first. You could also try using Unlocked Grip to occasionally switch your weapon to one-handed mode so you can fire off a spell in the other hand. If you decide to go 1h+magic instead, you'll definitely want to get Dual Wield Parrying so you can still block. There's a new version of it called Dual Wield Parrying Reimplemented that's supposed to be an improvement over the original.

If you want to be a skeleton you can use Undead FX. It adds an amulet that applies the undead effect to the player, so you just gotta configure it in the MCM so it always removes all the flesh, and then equip the amulet and you'll be a skeltal

Click yourself (should say 00000014 above the console) and type "inv", this will bring up your inventory. Use Help "[name]" if needed to find the codes for the equipped items. Quotes are needed for multi-word items.

The thing with a load screen pack is that I feel it has to be really varied. And I'm taking pictures as I play through the game at a leisure pace.

The good thing is that I'm using PeterBitt's original mod right now (I made a higher resolution for myself too, but I like the faster loading times) plus the shader, and everything looks very pretty.
