The point is that Splatoon has none of those killstreak perks, where you get a buff for killing someone, and it snowballs until you're an unstoppable killing machine.

This is something I've noticed about the game's mechanics, but it seems that the devs want Splatoon's higher levels of play to be skill-based. The players in S+ are there because they're good at the game, not because they abuse some broken weapon/loadout.

Most of the abilities that give you buffs will bestow them when you're at a disadvantage. None are too powerful either (except maybe Tenacity), so there's no easily abuseable thing that detracts from skill.

tl;dr the game is pretty balanced.

I don't think it's fake, prototypes are usually unpolished which is why its looking a little awkward here. But E3 isn't too far away, they gotta get something together for that. The patent's images fit perfectly with it, and because of a deal that was made somewhat recently, Sharp is going to be providing Nintendo with free-form LCD displays.

I actually really like the idea they're working with here. Why limit yourself to a small display when you have the whople controller to work with? Sticks+gyro is truly the way to go. And I can't wait to poke or pet my woomy.

I played last night to get to Sand Castle Queen. I'm S ran and alot of other S rankers seem to had a bad time but honestly the new system imo is really good. This was a pretty stress free Splatfest for me and never felt the need to find a dream team. The only thing I'm miffed about is I got alot of mirror matches which I never like to have. The cherry on top was the mirror matches for the most part were cake walks. I like this rotation for Splatfest though. Based Mall is based.
