Note: I am aware people hit higher DPS numbers. I am just putting out info.

Not a Magatsu spec but hit 42k dps with br/hu bow average stance on Magatsu (galyrow bow) on the best run (pub run, no special buffs other than drink).

The groups with very high overall dps makes it hard to do magatsu as you have to switch targets too fast to get off banish combos.

Would like to try a belly run for once to see the numbers.

Better play would help as well. Sometimes I have trouble staying on Magatsu.

So I want to start playing Force but I have no idea what weapon type I should use. I see people using Rods and Talis' so I am unsure as to which is better and if one group of those is just retarded shitters or it doesn't matter too much. I know the Austere rod has 247 more base damage but the Talis has a 20% more damage passive from the skill tree.

The thrown Talis works as a tech's point of origin and you only get that damage bonus if it's been thrown. This works great with a lot of techs, but others can be somewhat awkward to use. Mostly depends on your preferences, really.

Guys I know you love to shitpost but I've got an issue I need some help with that needs some thought. So I was introduced into pso2 by a bunch of friends from IRL, who pretty much played the game occasionally and thought I might enjoy it.

Eventually I stumbled upon this thread, started reading guides, joined a team etc. I've done everything I could to improve my performance in EQs and other quests, be it affixing, getting red weapons I've been upgrading to 13* as I raise them in ele, building my skill trees properly.

The problem is that my friends don't actually much care about this stuff, since they play for 'fun' and don't think there's much merit in what I've done to make myself better at the game, since it's all based on knowledge that other players discovered. They don't want to read guides or look up builds, and they do stuff like use 15 ele weapons just because they have high rarity, instead of crafting a red weapon and unlocking its booster potentials.

It's gotten to the point that I'm doing twice the damage of one of them when he's 10 levels over me, and I'm worried that they'll eventually get in trouble and get called leechers, etc. Once they step into Extra Hard. How should I go about convincing them to improve themselves, pso2g? It feels like anything I say will get rejected for being 'anti-fun', 'tryhard' stuff.

If you compare any two "equivalent" talises the talis will be stronger when thrown. However, a talis can only cast at max 4 techs before disappearing, so you need to recast after 4 casts. This isn't a problem for techs that take a long time to charge, but does begin to eat away at your overall DPS for fast charging techs. It takes a while but eventually you get a feel for what works better where.

There is SOME merit in that specific sentence, in that there are ultra "tryhard" faggots that will play the min-max game and copy the high DPS builds right down to it determining what class/equipment/pretty much everything they do because "it's the most DPS evar" then pretend to be gods gift to all the "plebs" who don't.

That attitude tends to bring about the most toxic and gigantic of faggots, in particular when they have an enormous ego to accompany the fact they've not actually done anything that wasn't already done by someone else.
Think like the bad part of the competitive smash community and you'll better understand, I'm shit at explaining things.

TL;DR: There's a balance between FUN and tryharding. If you want to play HU/SU/TE/BO/Whatever else fucking class/equipment is currently underpowered because segas fucktarded, by all means do that. Just invest some of your mesetas into your equipment. At the very least of efforts someone should do is +10 their weapons/units by the time they're XH EQing. Preferably sooner, Hiei set is a reasonable unit set to +10 for anyone and you get a solid decently affixed set for free from the matter board.

XH for something like the Cradle of Darkness that's coming up is whole different game than XH for something like Mining Base Defense: Demise, but they're both XH and everyone has equal access to both when really they make totally different demands on players

It's been this way since the beginning, the early parts of the game do little to actually prepare you for "endgame" play and the only requirement to get into things is whether or not you've just put the time in to make the number next to your name big enough

I'm not really sure how you unfuck this at this point. Chances are if they do anything it'll be with the next difficulty and they just won't bother to touch XH and below forever just like they did with SH, VH, etc.

13-man parses are caused by...some unknown weirdness in the parsing plugin. It's been happening rarely to a handful of team members as well: next time it happens to me, I'll look into it and see if there's anything I can do to manage it from my end. The only "proper" fix is likely to come with the log-formatting rewrite, but there may be something about the instance or attack IDs that I can use to distinguish them.

As others have said this is an action game and thanks to XH being able to one shot everyones characters through bullshit multiple-hits from enemies that kill you if you so much get tapped-staggered then swarmed by hits, bad players can't make a tank build strong enough to bail their scrub ass out for long, it becomes obvious who's a floorhugger over time. That's kind of why I don't give much of a fuck about DPS calcs to begin with as so many of these people topping the charts are just spamming PAs/Techs away from the battlefield. Not sure on everyone elses stance but I consider a good melee player better than a good distance one. So no, that alone does not make them specifically good because ranged classes are the babby mode in this game, the difficulty curve is far gentler on classes out of danger.

Basically, you can take that 150% you get from your Wind Mastery and Shifta Strike, and throw it into the garbage, because I get 145% from my Brave Stance, and then another 15% from a critical strike, and then another 130% from my Elemental Stance, and that's assuming all of the other situational modifiers like Rapid Boost and Shifta Air Attack Boost aren't coming into play.

So in total, that's 190%, compared to your 150%. And if you're a Bo too, that's 180%, which as I'm sure your 4th grade diploma in addition is telling you, is 10% less than a Fi/Bo. Basically, what you need to do is stop getting in the real men's way and stick to casting Megiverse instead of dragging the rest of us down with your impotent Zanverses, because unlike you wand-waving homosexuals, we know how to actually make the boss feel it when it's in their weak spot.

Get 13* eggs
Put the right candies in your box
Attack with your summons PAs
Zanverse only if no one else is doing it
Use alter ego, you can avoid the damage your pet receives if you mirage step during it.
Don't let your pet die to dumb shit. Example being elders arms worst case you can just pull out a shitty summon like wanda and let it eat the damage if you want to dodge with mirage step and then pull out a real summon after his attack
Sari Territory is really strong if used correctly
You have access to techniques which means you can use Zondeel and Megiverse and you should be using them

Br is the best sub overall, or at least most consistent/stable sub choice.
Fi is another choice but stances depend on the pets position not the players.
Gu is another option haven't personally bothered with it but PK should work and is probably based off of the pets HP and you also get chain trigger.
Bo could work but isn't worth using.
Hu is a horrible sub for once.
Ra is a bad sub choice but at least you can be a WB slave.
Fo is a bad sub choice.
Te is a bad choice but could work barely with Zanverse and the pp regen but still doesn't seem ideal. Also if a big boy is using Zanverse you'll just be dead weight.

Compared to the other choice you have it is. You don't need pp convert that badly and EWH is only 20% but you need to have a rainbow pet setup which is a little expensive but not nearly as bad as having to get a 13* rainbow weapon set. It isn't that bad but it also isn't that strong either and requires much more invested and will still be weaker than other sub class options.

Whil I don't disagree with this, you can have "unlimited" weapons, you can carry rainbow sets for every weapon of your class with you, put up to 6 in your subpalette and switch them according to the map you're going to play in.
But there's a limit to how many pets you can have, and you can't store them as far as I know.

The fact that you can only have 15 summons for now until/unless SEGA raises the cap every time they add more also adds to the fact that it isn't entirely ideal. Torim would probably be the most popular option to make a rainbow summon set for and if you did that and had light of everything else you would still have 5 summon slots open. If SEGA doesn't raise the cap when they add more then summoners are going to get fucked. I could see them making it an AC option.

Where should I put the rest of my skill points?
On the Techer side I can either max Technique up 2 or I can max Resta Advance, Territory PP Save, and get Wide Support.
On the Force side I can either max Talis Tech Bonus with Talis Fast Throw or Rod Shoot with Rod Keep Bonus. While Rod Shoot only really needs 3 I would have 2 points I wouldn't know where to put so figure might as well max it.

Only have one tree for each currently so it's a bit of a mix but will probably end up buying more if I enjoy the class enough and make single element trees but until then I am forced to choose but no idea what I should go with.

Austere > Orbit > Ideal >= Tokyo >= Ares > Kuron > Slave and Nemesis are trash just like Xie.

Ideal for bosses but mainly just the rifle being worth a shit now a days. Tokyo can be pretty strong with some classes even stronger than Ares. Kuron is alright for those that do more damage against weak points even the ones that do less damage but save some pp have uses. Slave and Nemesis are +5%/+10% attribute fodders just like Xie. Waste of lambda grinders.
