Pathfinding is screwing the script big time, mobs are spawning undeground and simillar most of the time + they have some weird way points.

I'm the guy you replied to. They're very different games but both are a lot of fun. P99 is an Everquest emu set in the hardest and most unforgiving state of the game. With that said I think everyone should try it out, at least to see where games like early WoW got a lot of inspiration in their game design. I'm redownloading tonight now that I've thought about it.

Very good scripting in dungeons, extremely good in t7 raids, good scripting in Northrend (Lorenaster is possible now), Outland was good (didn't get to do BEM, Netherstorm or SMV because I was 68 by the time I finished Nagrand by doing almost all of the quests), and vanilla was probably the worst of them but still in good shape. Class scripting is solid and most bugs are hammered out. The only way to really know is to try it, as with basically any server. If you need leveling gear there's a shit ton in the gbank.

Non shill post here I have actually played there and will give my honest opinion.

Questing and pre-wotlk content is very, very average. You'll be able to complete all quests but it's a bit wonky at times and can get frustrating due to low drop rates on quest items. If you are focused on raids/dungeons you wont have any issues with this.

There are some class bugs but overall its pretty solid and the worst ones get fixed quite quickly. Everything you'd want to do at level 80 actually works and is scripted very well, the best i've seen of all current wotlk servers. Comparable to GD scripting if you ever played there. Naxx and all heroics are scripted well, you won't find any bugs until you start looking very closely. Again, they are working fast and the minor bugs that slipped through get fixed pretty quickly.

The bad part is that most of the community is polish. If you're NA you'll be mostly playing with the wpsg guild, there are like 3 other american guilds and they're all pretty small (10-15 active players). With that said, the wpsg guild is pretty big and there is always someone running something.

I strongly suggest you ask in discord or in the ToD guild instead, because as you've seen people are shilling like crazy in this thread.

Ive known some people who had issues with it in guild and some who haven't. When i did it i didnt have any problems but i wouldnt be surprised if other people did since the scripts arent perfect and its pretty easy to bug it out if you do certain things.
Basically to answer the origional guys question there are over 50 of us enjoying the end game quality on ToD that is the best ive played on from gd/lordaeron/dalaran.

I just started on a private server a few weeks ago only to experience some delicious Vanilla PvP. I played Vanilla WoW way back when on retail (up to WotLK before I quit forever). I used to run the standard 21/8/22 dagger build and loved it. I was Rank 13 for a real long time...but I started to hate the "VANISH/BLIND/PREPARATION/BLIND/VANISH" game. I wanted something more consistent that relied more on mechanical skill rather than blowing all cooldowns to blow up an enemy.

So after much deliberation, I played around with the talent calculator and I think I'm going to do something like this (gonna be main-handing a sword) instead:

I'd rather be a jack of all trades and use my skills to take control of my weaknesses. I've always been really mechanically sound at vidya (please, not now, guys) and the thought of hitting 60 and once again always running in circles to land backstabs and use cooldowns constantly has worn thin over the years. Thoughts? I know it's not really touted as the "best cookiecutter rogue build" for a reason, but I'm trying to factor in my current skills and attitude.

This isn't a Jack of all trades spec, those don't exist in vanilla. You're missing out on the good parts of combat and sub. If you want a "mechanically skilled" figure spec in pvp you need to go hemo or combat/sub daggers. Cold blood is just for eviscerate crits, it's the pom pyro of rogues.

The first and most annoying problem is that gear is for the most part deciding who wins. An esport title it not build on who farmed longer, gets the better items. If everyone would be scaled to the same itemlevel, then the balance would be a big topic, but not even arenas start out fair. They're playing on Return of Reckoning which is a private server of Warhammer Fantasy Age of Reckoning. It has pretty good PvP, but just like the game it is inspired by, it lacks meaningful PvE content

So I understand liking mop. The pvp was miles better than 50m long 2v2 Cata and SL/SL Restokin TBC (but worse than wrath by a bit), and the content after ToES and HoF was really good (ToT being almost as good as Uld and Kara). But what I don't get is, why the fuck are you playing on an unscripted pile of garbage? I doubt most boss mechanics work, and I highly doubt that all the class mechanics work. Does pathing even work?

If you are going to play mop, why not just play retail and stay at level 90? None of the raids got the "legacy raid" buff yet, and with the stat squish and change to classes they are still relatively hard (stuff that was soloable during end mop is still not soloable now).

I know retail is shit, but playing on a 1/4th working server just for 1 or 2 good raids is dumb (because let's face it, everything outside of ToT, SoO, and PvP is dogshit. The dailies were horrid, timeless isle is crap, the leveling was god awful, and everything about it is kinda crap).

Look, a handful of us are dicking around on a MoP server.
We are not server hopping.
We are not abandoning You
We are simply having some fun trying out a server.

On the topic of wow.freakz, it is not a very good server.
The main population is E-EU, so they're usually a GCD ahead of you. PvE content is pretty shit, although questing is alright.
Its a funsever though, 15x until MoP content, then 5x. Gold is high rates as well.

If you want to hang with us, PvP is really all there is, but sadly even I am regretting this because the initial grind to get any pvp is the definition of cancer in MoP.
You will be going against people with 200k+ more health than you, and about a 70% damage reduction effect. If you're a healer, your heals are reduced by Battle Fatigue by about 70%, before Mortal Strike effects.
Its all mitigated by the PvP Power / PvP Gear thing, and when you get through it, its pretty fun.
Again though, its a huge time investment getting to a point where you're relevant in BGs or Arenas, essentially Gear > Skill until you have the gear.

However, you can feel free to come hang out, even if you just wanna see the server a bit. Don't take it so seriously though guys., its all in fun.
