Nah, the shells it loads are fucking huge. And all the other parts were showing that they were connected properly.

That's one of the first things i check because when something doesn't work it's often because of disconnected parts.

Your cannon was bigger than you thought it was. This slider >>135081525 is just to help you crunch numbers, it doesn't actually change the bore of your weapon. In fact, you can use the same shell design with 18mm and 500mm cannons at the same time. I´m fucking around with military style mods in some alien desert, + shit like wings and realistic thusters. Sometimes some other fools join and we shit up the server by dogfighting and crashing into each other.

Some of the mechanics you get are highly interesting, for instance any kind of plane will need to have their center of thrust with their center of mass aligned, but you also need to put your main container on the absolute center of mass, since it changing weight will fuck you up otherwise.


Also, helicopters fly like actual helicopters and bombs don´t drop like actual bombs since there´s no drag. But if you go full StuKa with them you still hit shit. Can´t wait to make some cargo shit, and drop that using that tasty new parachute mod.

A lot of my killsats end up looking like this, because weapons in FtD usually end up linear. The problem is that it causes massive drag, even in space. If you make it teardrop- or triangle-shaped when viewed from the top, you'll have a nice drag-reducing front but still have a flat backside to fit goodies like propulsion, steering and heat decoys.

I come from just outside DC, in my area at least 75% of families have one or more people working for the federal government or federal contractors. I've heard some incredibly dumb stories, but the one that takes the cake actually comes from my uncle in Pascagoula, MS.

During Katrina some naval vessel (destroyer iirc, wikipedia gives nothing) broke loose from its moorings and ended up landing in some ecologically sensitive swamp area. My uncle was assigned to figure out how to get it out of there while leaving the environment "as it was before all this," or something to that effect. Localized resources hit repair drones pretty hard. It doesn't matter much for the AI since they pretty much get free resources on tap, but if your design just leans on the tentacles patching up damage rather than avoiding damage in the first place you will burn through resource stores like crazy.

They already have Lock-on missile launchers, and those are cancer of the highest caliber since we don't have any proper countermeasures. And on top of already being really easy to use and almost completely crippling any bot that can't hide fast enough with a full salvo, they reduced the lock-on time from around 3 seconds to 2. Copters using missiles are especially bad since they kinda hide just on the other side of a hill while locking on and then pop up to fire and then drop back down to recharge energy and auto-heal from any stray shots that might have plinked them.

I honestly don't feel like the proto-seekers will be too bad compared to missiles. Although if they do have the automatic charge-up beam talked about when they first started discussing the idea for it when they called it the proto-leech, it'll depend almost entirely on how good the beam is.

The proto-seeker homing isn't supposed to be very strong, and the projectiles are supposed to be I think about half as strong as smgs, so it'll likely be a good harassment or support weapon. It might see quite a bit of use on tesseracts and other quick fliers, since the shots basically have a slight aim assist so it will allow the pilot to focus more on movement and evasion while attacking.

May be mitigatable if your base is just one big ship.

I have no reason to believe that most servers aren't just hugboxes and horridly laggy/shitted up with a thousand mods.

Laser cannons can sustain continuous fire for a very long time. Their fire rate also isn't anything to scoff at when at zero energy.

Bursting isn't effective if it doesn't kill the enemy in one go, which it most likely won't.

Turns out the Retaliator just sprays hundreds of AP40+ shells at the target until either enough EMP shells pierce through to take out the generator, or the rest of the sabot rounds getting through just disintegrate the entire region behind the shield, including the generator.
