>Can the game be considered a full release?
No, for all intents and purposes, KSP should be considered still in early access state. The game is nowhere near being able to stand on its own legs both from a gameplay perspective (career mode is definitely not ready and balanced) and a stability perspective. There are still major bugs and memory leaks that shouldn't exist on a finished game.

Bugs and instability are still real and frequent problems, as with every product still in beta. Ask in thread for details.

Modified versions of popular mods are being included in the stock game while the game engine is being upgraded to its latest version. The next major update (1.1) is supposedly going to bring a complete overhaul of the GUI, be 64bit friendly, have a refined physics/heating/aero model and generally perform better. An external team with heavily questionable experience (Flying Tiger Entertainment) is being tasked with porting the game to PS4, XboxOne and Wii U. They seem to be rushing for an imminent deadline and they are also working on a version of the game that will be obsolete in a few weeks/months.

KSP is very enjoyable at first, then it usually needs to be modded to retain some sort of longevity, but doing so may dramatically decrease the stability of the game. You will be very familiar with the word "Oops!". The Developers, Squad, have shown many times that they can't handle the project and are trying to squeeze all the money they can with the least amount of effort and with controversial PR tactics. The general consensus at /kspg/ is that you should torrent the game, not because the game itself is unplayable, but because most of us agree that Squad does not deserve your money.

Guys I've been trying to launch this payload with a Proton rocket and every time I have a weird bug where the camera starts focusing an imaginary point outside of the rocket. This keeps happening at regular intervals so eventually I can't see the rocket.
I've tried to launch a different payload with the same Proton rocket and it's fine, I've tried to launch the same payload with a different launcher and I still have the bug.
So I think there's something wrong with one these parts that somehow changes the CoM of the rocket.
Any ideas to fix it?

Ok I found the problem. Those monopropellant tanks with the solar panels. Whenever there's one of those in the rocket, at around an altitude of 6 km the camera starts focusing way below the rocket.

Is there a mod that'll let me choose alternate launch sites? There's that mod that gives you actual alternate launch pads, yeah, but I'm looking for something akin to how firespitter's water launch system does it (being that you can log a crafts current position and save it for future launches, regardless of whether or not you are in water). 32-bit vs 64-bit has no difference in performance for KSP; it's only extra memory for mods. The switch in the launcher does nothing; it always runs the 32-bit version (since the 64-bit KSP Windows version was removed; it's coming back in KSP 1.1).
You can get higher frame rates at the expense of running in slow motion if you change the "Max Physics Delta Time per Frame" to be a lower number. Higher numbers = in-game time tries to match real-time; lower numbers = the game tries to give you better FPS, even if that means 10 seconds in-game takes 30 seconds in real life. There's no difference in physics precision. The default is 0.4.
Finally, are you using any mods? Some will have a serious effect on your performance, especially the beautification mods.
Also, after encountering someone with a heat-related issue yesterday, what are your temperatures when running the game?
