I made an improved non-kickass starter pack.

It should have everything required point-to-point to get up and running from scratch (pre-downgrade) to rxTools (excluding the firmware files). I also took the liberty of rewriting the firmware .bat file to be more streamlined.

I wrote a pretty thorough readme for the entire process, but some wording is either vague or nonexistent so fleshing out those would be nice.

Also, it works during any part of the process so if you just downgraded and don't know what to do next you could follow along perfectly by starting to set up rxTools.

Sorry if this has been asked before. I tried installing some GBA titles after downgrading a n3ds from 10.3 to 9.2. I've done this on my o3ds before so its not a new process to me. Nands are unlinked and the CIAs were installed to both sys and emunand. trying to start up some games I know worked on the o3ds are not booting at all leaving me with a black screen. How do I check if my nands are unlinked? I was sure they weren't linked before but was having some issues, when I check the folders in Nintendo 3DS there are 4 and a private folder.

What's the difference between emunand9's "EmuNand/Auto", "EmuNand", "standard", and "standard/auto" format tools?

I'm assuming standard wipes sysNand, but what's auto?

So, /techsupportgen/, after I got my O3DS downgraded I started to download .cias and .3ds for every game that looks even SLIGHTLY interesting, and I have them all in a folder now, with .3ds converted to FW spoof'd .cia files.

whenever i boot into sysupdater, the warning text appears garbled and it freezes immediately

i was using an earlier edition of sysupdater and after 8-9 hours of cia not found, i decided to use what i was told to be a newer version.

what should i do?

sysloader won't work for my on my o3DS. The guide says it might get stuck at the numbers but it doesn't show the numbers.

N3ds won't work as easily as the old one due to instability of sysupdater.

You can try though, not much risk outside of maybe softbricking it which isn't all too bad since you can just update back to 10.3.0 via recovery.
(just make sure you get the proper update packaged for the n3ds)

I've successfully downgraded, made an emunand and installed rxTools 2.6 on it.
Now, how can I boot into CFW without having to go to the browser every time? And before someone reposts THAT guide, I've tried it, but apparently 2.6 isn't compatible with CtrBootManager.

No. When you create the EmuNAND, it starts off linked to SysNAND. You have to format EmuNAND with a tool like TinyFormat.cia in order to unlink.

Yo, I'm on emuNAND 9.5 on my N3DS, and I was wondering if there was a way to launch my physical copy of Paper Jam. I tried HANS already but it gives a yellow screen when I try to boot the app with the game.
