The original and the arranged fires of hokkai from touhou should give you an example of what i mean, the arrange shows how fan artists make actual good use of the leit motif, and actually manipulate the metre to create different movements during the song. the latter is very reminiscent of undertale (the song) in the progression of the song.

The sad thing is america doesn't really have a lot of these good arangers. I don't know what kind of deranged obsession makes japan amazing enough to crank out 16 swing albums from a simple shooting game and thats from a single large doujin circle among hundreds.

That said, I found the music in red to be very well coriagraphed, granted they took two songs that really didn't have a lot going for them and made them awesome, but the subtle attention to the background notes is present in the remixes which are fantastic.

For the box, you will always hit the spikes, but you want the attack to end before that happens. Jump as late as you can without getting hit.

For that last part, it's actually pretty damn hard to get through that without taking damage. My strategy is to save my noodles until he says he's going to unleash his special attack, pop them and then tank out what health I have left when I get to that part.
