I don't understand this game.

It's super linear, you literally just walk forward.
The fights are all super easy except for some attacks which are a bitch to avoid.
There is stuff like "action" and "mercy" but you never need them except if you want to waste a turn so you just press "attack" over and over and maybe use an item sometimes.
some characters are kinda funny I guess but you end up killing most of them so they are in the game for like 15 minutes each.
then the game goes all "omg so fourth wall" with you killing that weird photoshop plant thing and then you reload your save before the end.

so, that's it? This is the big tumblerina game everyone was so hyped about?

I understand that hearing most people go pacifist and wanting to do the opposite, I tried to do that as well on my first run. And like you, I messed it up. But once I got to Undyne it was too much for me, I felt so bad. So I reset and did a pacifist run. Then I did a genocide run afterward.

Genocide and neutral/pacifist are very different runs, and genocide is a lot shorter, especially now that you know what you are doing.

If you want to be feared then genocide is what you're looking for, but the ending won't end in tyranny.

Who else thinks gote Dad got sort of character assassinated before he ever had a chance to endear himself towards us? The first thing we hear about him is that he intentionally lures kids to him so he can steal their soul. Theres some push that he's actually a nice guy, and we see as much. But with the exception of Undyne, no one really sticks up for Asgore. Its reasonable for people to just assume he's a dopey irredeemable dick. For all I know he is one and im just stubborn for thinking otherwise. What do you guys think? If more characters stuck their neck out for Asgore's decision and perhaps gave some valid or invalid reasons to justify or forgive what he did, would he be more likable?
