Cerberus is slow as shit and is hit or miss for kills, even when controlled.
When Talon is player-controlled, if you move and shoot you can rack up kills extremely quickly.

With cerberus it might do more damage but you'd have to end up locking them in their spawns hardcore like on metro or fringe. Otherwise it's just a sentry turret. Avoid that general area and you still waste time piloting it.

guardian is super useless to run but it's the most common reward from care packages other than uav/cuav.
Sentry gun is actually good. Lock down a huge area and it's actually lethal. Just don't place it at a window or a common camp spot. Put it slightly more forward so it covers a wider area.

shotguns in this game have a different mechanic compared to old games, take a look at the datasheet in the OP

lets take the KRM for example

it fires 8 pellets and each pellet does 2 damage, yes you read right 2 damage per pellet

but as soon as just one pellet hits, the target takes 98 damage until 6m (=one pellet hits and ded), 84 damage until 8m (all 8 pellets have to connect here to get a OHKO) and 50 damage until the end of range which is 15m

connecting pellets serves absolutely no point, laser sight actively hinders your ability to do damage against multiple targets/at close range when your aim is off

The competing games were just Halo at the time. No battlefield, or anything even close really.

Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. People were sick to death of world war 2, aiming down your guns sight was cool, prestiging was cool, customizing your guns skin or getting gold was cool (blue tiger best fight me fags)

The gameplay was, 'realistic'. You weren't some floaty armored guy, you were some boots on the ground specialist taking out the opposition, just your gun that you chose and grenades and perks that made your choices feel like they mattered in game although I only remember stopping power, juggernaut, last stand and martyrdom. God I played so much HC SnD and my k/d was .6 then again my current is only .98 thanks BO3 i was truly awful.

The campaign had Captain Price, he was a badass. You got nuked in Somethingstan, traipsed through Chernobyl while hunting a dictator, rescued a hostage in a damaged private jet full of bad guys, fought off Russians through the night and then bombed them to clear your bros on the ground to safety.

Also you killed dogs which nearly scared the shit out of me the first time.

Back in 2007(?) the hype was so real. Its a shame MW2 was so buggy, but that led to its own brand of fun.

The first one wasn't really revolutionary from what I remember. It was just another WW2 shooter competing with 1942s ridiculous popularity.

The sequel, Big Red One, had a great story mode supposedly but I don't remember it very much. I preferred Medal of Honor PA. Shame that series came back just to die a shitty death.

People mostly remember the fourth as their first because that was when it suddenly stuck out, sort of like RE4 compared to the rest of the series.

Most things in the game can be considered tissue paper if you're playing against someone with a Blackcell. 4 rockets takes down everything but a Mothership iirc. I've got classes specifically dedicated to wrecking scorestreaks just because you get a similar amount of points, and it's really fucking fun. Also hilarious to know the enemy team is raging because they can't set anything up.

Also, wtf happened to the Blackhat? It was awesome in BO2, and it's easily the worst equipment in the game on BO3.

ads-ing with the argus turns the spread into a single bullet. so its almost always a one shot kill. adsing with the other shotguns tightens the spread much more than in other cod games. haymaker ads is pretty negligible though.

Blatant hackers usually advertise the site they bought it from.

Remember that they collect data and then vac wave later. And sometimes they do a shit job like with mw2 where it vacs you from getting infected in a hacked lobby and ending up as host before you reset the game. I have several friends on steam with a single vac ban and its always mw2.

You can get rewards regardless of whether or not you have anything unlocked. My friends constantly unlock things for the Firebreak and endgame weapons near the beginning of their prestige levels.

What does prestiging the weapon do. Does it reset camos/attachments?

Also do the prestige items (kill counter/clan tag) take up CaC points to apply to my guns?

Help /codg/ I bought blops 3 on amazon on black friday because shit was cheap and the beta was fun.

It showed up today so I installed it and an hour later, tried to play. I was greeted with this fresh hell
