I never have screens to post; I can't plan cities from the start to be open to restructuring and have shit built into them as time goes on and yet I hate starting out with everything unlocked.

I really should get that 2-lane highway mod though. It'd make my region of many little towns a fuck ton easier.

Hey /cbg/ I'm playing cities skylines and whenever I start a city I always make really grid-locked cities, that seem to work but aren't really fun, and definitely not attractive.
Pic related, but ignore all the abandonment and shit, they're just mad they haven't graduated highschool yet.

How do I get out of the grid and make better, more attractive cities?

Mix grids with curves, cities tend to have both. The smaller the road, the griddier it should be. Highways and large arteries don't give a fuck and just go wherever they need.
