A Tonkor Build without Fast hands will have damage numbers like.. Say..

5000 Corrosive, 2400 blast, 2400 heat

All of that multipled by 5.5. On paper, roughly 54000 damage.

Now remove an element and add that 7.0 crit.

57000 damage.

You're losing diversity in your damage coverage, to do 3000 more damage with your crits. It ain't worth it. If it was say, 10000, then maybe.

Are Dual Ether swords any good?

I'm going for a melee focused build with Valkyr and I'm having trouble choosing a main weapon to use an Orokin thing on. It's between Dual Ether, Galatine and Fang and they all seem pretty good. I kinda just want to use either swords or fists, but I haven't gotten around to trying any fists yet. Mostly because I want a melee weapon with slashing damage, so I'm considering Fang the least. I just don't wanna waste the upgrade thing.

Yeah, sort of. I guess it's mostly because I'm decent at it.
I've never played the Dark Sectors version of it, so I can't compare; it's not perfectly balanced, but it mostly works. Lack of dedicated servers and shitty matchmaking combined with a small amount of people playing it are the biggest issues.

Well except the post you quoted initially. And I didn't say Loki wasn't strong, I said he wasn't well designed. But that depate might be too complicated for this thread. I'll try anway.

He's not well designed because he makes content trivial. His two main skills are too strong. Invisibility has absolutely no downsides while providing too many positives. It doesn't add to the gameplay (especially not with the awful AI this game has), it detracts from it.
I'd like to contrast this with Ivaras invisibility. It has up and downsides, it's engaging. This is what I'd want from a good game.
Disarm is similar, with it being permanent and with the extremely simple AI in this game it makes almost every enemy/mission a joke. It takes away a lot of the gameplay opportunities that a well designed version of it would provide.
In a game that is well designed and that I actually enjoy I don't want an "I win" button, which Loki pretty much is.
And that is the problem. This game isn't well designed so what we want are actually skills that trivialize it because we have to put up with DEs bullshit and grind. That's why I like Loki, he gives me an opportunity to skip a lot of the crap thrown my way.
Imagine if this game was much, much better and you'd play it for the gameplay, not the grind. Would you want a class that makes other obsolete?

I think at least some of them do. Clearly they put some thought into Ivara, she's a frame that would work really well in a good game and they probably think that is what warframe is. What they don't realize is that they can release as many good and balanced frames as they want we'll always pick the ones that make the grind easier and those aren't the balanced ones.
