found the person who hasn't raided. It's like the "wait for 5 sunder" days of WoW when you actually get into real content. DPS can churn out absurd threat relative to the tanks, especially in movement heavy fights where tanks can't always be on the boss.

The only time I have issues is in fights like limbo where the DPS can completely lay in to the mob and I'm not paying attention to the threat meter.

The stalker in my group says she has issues some times but for the most part if you get what taunts and the menace fusion is holding threat is pretty simple.

This game surely has shitty fashion. I want to dress my tailfu, but carbine makes it very complicated. Shirt, same shirt with diff color, shirt with something, a bit more long shirt, pants, diff color pants, you got the idea. Gemstore is crap desu too

I've seen a guildie do 37k DPS, over the entire fight not burst, and the tank was well above that.

The only problem there is with threat is skeledroid, where fucking slingers charge shot crit it for 30~40k at 0.01s into the fight, since for whatever reason you can't taunt that boss.
If you ever grab threat on anything else your tank either sucks or is massively undergeared compared to you, which probably means you're tankier than him anyway because HP on gear these days.

What is "switch" guys? I know tank switches, but I'm dps and boys in random dungeon called me out because I "didn't switch". What the fuck am I supposed to do?

I think on aethros it's about the little adds, but honestly there should be no switching since you're gonna stack em up and cleave em dead. No idea why anyone would want to call a switch there.

On drokk it's the phase where there's chasing suicide bots, they go after 1 person and explode when they touch it. There is a pop-up with the new targets name when they switch targets, and the robots stand still for a second to re-acquire targets.
Switch means you gotta pay attention if the bots are going after you, if they do run away in a straight line so healer can heal you and bots don't splode.

There is one very small possibility; you were 4DPSing it and the DPS weren't tanky enough (or healer not strong enough) to tank the adds completely alone.
So maybe, just maybe, the 2nd best DPS took a taunt so that when the highest DPS had threat on the adds for a while and was low he would take the adds for 5 seconds or so while the healer could buffer up the highest DPS again.

Sleek Hazmat Leggings, the entire set can be found in Whitevale discoveries (the cracked earth with light coming through) semi-rarely. It took me about an hour to find the pants and gloves, but it's a pain in the ass right now because there's a chance to find winterfest snowmen too which don't give you anything but a temp pet.

Probably the best christmas event out of current MMO's. WoW has the same old quest chain from 5+ years ago and FFXIV's holidays always involve mindless grinding to get mediocre rewards.

Supermall is pretty fun the first handful of times when you experience different stores. The dailies are kind of garbage but they're over with quick. The cosmetic rewards are pretty great.

I'd give it a solid 7.5/10.

Protip: kills/assists is not where you get prestige from, it's from the instance rewards, that is an easy 500/match if you win. Also yes, that means open world PVP gives jack didly squat.

Settler is nice if you like setting up buffs for others to use out in the worlds. It can be a bit tedious to gather up settler mats though, and projects are almost never worth the time you'd need to put into them to complete beyond getting path credit.

No opinions on medic, since I've only gotten mine to 14.

You don't need to minmax the shit out of runes if you're poor and don't have raid gear. Even if you're raiding you don't need to minmax it (unless maybe you're a tank and your healers suck).
Just put in basic stats and only reroll the completely useless slots (HP, lifesteal and such). That's easily 80% of the power you'd get if you minmaxed for like 1/50th of the price.

Main reason is they got the frontloaded burst in their kit and their points reset in seconds after killing a pack.
Espers/warriors/engi's all have to build up their points to really hit the big shit and slingers regen slowly between fights.

Yes, there should. Especially when unscrupulous people can start a guild, invite new players, and then tax the shit out of them.

We can argue about there being able to start a free "gimped" guild, and then paying for extra features. But guilds can be exploited fairly easily. So they have to be limited.

Where has this ever been a problem. You're notified that guild taxes are on when you join a guild. If you're dumb enough to let it happen to you without question, that's your personal issue not something that needs to be policed via paywall.

And that isnt why guilds are IN Sig. Carbine is just being petty. They're partyline on the F2P launch stream was they felt people who wouldnt pay them for it arent responsible enough for a guild. Nevermind that the game is going f2p and money has nothing to do with dedication to a guild

I would disagree with the other anon and say that you must rune your gear with at least High runes before starting veteran dungeons. But don't bother crafting them, Highs are very cheap on the AH.

Remember this: With the glory you'll get from contracts and veteran adventures, purchase all the blue ilvl 78 gear from a dungeon vendor (from the tabs that do not require for you to have bronzed the dungeons to buy them). Buy cheap ilvl 70+ gear for the rest of your slots from the auction house. There's usually a ilvl 76 or 78 purple piece that costs less than 50g. Rune those.

Vigor does a lot for you, more than SR if you're doing world bosses.
Very simply put: 1% vigor means you do 1% more damage, IE if you would normally do 100 damage you would do 101 damage.
The lower your HP, the lower your vigor. IE if you're at 50% HP, your vigor only counts for 50%. So in the above example instead of doing 101 damage, you do 100.5 damage.

It's not useless, but it's not something you aim for.
There is actually a lot more nuance to runing than "rune stat X and win" these days. You got softcaps and hardcaps, raid (de)buffs that push you over those caps, runeset bonusses that make secondary stats (like vigor) worth the loss in primary stats, set bonusses that make even runing one or two lifesteal/HP runes worth it, and much more.
Dunno what the softcap for Mhit is but you might wanna look that shit up first before you waste your plat. Good bet that after a dozen or so Mhit runes vigor might actually be better, or crit(sev), or fuck if i know what medics like.

I think it's fun because the developers had/have fun making it. I can seriously describe every bit of it as "hype as fuck".

I main a tank. Leveling was slow, but easy.
