The reason why GGG hasn't done anything to improve trade is because it will hurt their RMT business.

Cross instance trade would make their RMTlord's business easier but it will ruin the game by making it too hard to find items and the game too easy. This is a fact backed up by empirical evidence. Games with auction houses must make extensive gameplay changes to accommodate the massive balance damage done by the auction house. Items are bound to the character or account and items are obtained largely through linear progression. This keeps items from being able to be easily obtained from the auction house. PoE isn't like this, they would have to completely change or otherwise ruin the game.

Since GGG can't essentially implement the tools to create an AH via cross instance trade without ruining the game, their only other option is to make trading as convoluted as possible, The majority of players who play and attempt to trade will be forced to look for other means of obtaining items due to how convoluted it is. Some of them will find useful and legal 3rd party resources, others who grew up on other f2p games who know the ins and outs of an in game economy will head straight for RMT and GGG knows this.

GGG gains a double benefit from their convoluted trade system by looking like the shining protectors of their economy by occasionally making it public knowledge that they banned an RMT'er and by keeping their communication channels free from RMT spam. But they know full well that the players who RMT already know where to get it and GGG prints Exalts and sells them to all the RMT sites so they both make the money RMT'ing and look like the good guy from banning RMT'ers. Also players who get banned will have to buy more to get back to where they're at, thus benefiting GGG again.

The simple fact of the matter is it has been far too long to have not implemented a way for the average player to index their items in game and to keep track of the current value of currency.

A big problem is that pushes people to trade is that the difference between an average good sword you find yourself and the ones others craft / find is huge. If it wasn't for trade I would have levelled multiple characters using 180-210 dps swords in lv 80+.

I leveled to 85 just using that and tried every thing to make it work. But its just too much of a fucking chore for AoE clearing. As soon as I hit tier 7 maps the RF didnt kill stuff fast enough anymore so I started to level Arc and Shock Nova. Nova is fucking ass, Arc does fine. Not sure how this is even possible on hardcore talisman as there are simply not enough players running excavation to complete the time-lost relic set without it costing 200 exalted orbs and there is almost no one running hall of grandmasters to buy the last one standing cards from for atziri's disfavour.

Even if you were to currency swap there are likely RMT'rs and extreme botters trying to buy this challenge as well, making the price of the last one standing go up to 10 ex per card. You need 10 of these so its a fun challenge.

The challenges previous league were actually doable 8/8 but 32/32 will be a feat that less than 50 players will probably get just because of the sheer rarity of these 2 divination card sets.

Its probably easier to drop 10 tier 1 uniques than 10 time-lost relics or 10 the last one standing.

i have a high refresh rate low latency monitor. you can view the input latency test results at tftcentral mine is <5ms., I use a 1ms 1000hz sampling rate USB mouse with no sensor smoothing, a 1000hz mechanical keyboard with as fast as debounce time as there is on the market. typically only play games offline or online games on a local server where the client is trusted or on a LAN. my total input latency is as low as can be.

The divination card challenges are always pure cancer not just because they contain an expensive item but because people will realize its a challenge put the items needed up for 3-5x the normal price.

You need more than a mirror of currency to complete 32/32 this time though. Things like tier 15 maps, soul takers, tier 1 uniques, the divination card challenge, the regular uniques they all add up.

Even 28/32 is pretty difficult however last league 7/8 was easily doable, the divination card one was only easy if you started working on it asap in the league and had some help.

But the identify and currency challenges this league are just stupid.

These challenges don't even represent skill more like how much exalted orbs can you bomb on getting them all. This time you need to earn about 2 exalted orbs each day of the league to complete them all most likely.

Who even does hall of grandmasters in hardcore for the last one standing div cards. And time-lost relic cards are so rare I have an easier time buying a mirror than 10 off these. I ran excavation map like 40 times total and I never seen this card drop, it rarely is up on poe.trade as well. It doesn't help that its a very high tier map as well so not a lot of people run it.

These challenges are just impossible to complete playing only hardcore talisman just because of this 10 set bs and people will start overprice them as there are some people who run 10 bots who have the currency for 2-5x the normal price.

How do you make 5-10 ex? I played stuff to level 100, that makes me top 100 I think on regular hardcore league and in no way I can make 5-10 ex just using regal recipes and rolling maps. Only if I sell high maps I can make that much but it will be near impossible to sustain without good luck. I don't count getting high map drops as gaining multiple ex per day. Also the investment I put into a map is easily 5~7c

Even with iiq/iir characters I make like an ex a day without tier 1 / tier 2 drops.

Only way to make real bank (20 ex in a day or sometimes even higher for roughly a week or two) in new leagues is rushing for uber atziri especially in hardcore. But only the first few make a good amount of currency off it.

I find challenges like ''kill atziri solo, kill twinned core malachai solo, kill dual kaom solo with -% max resistances'' etc more fun than burn currency on items you can't really farm for yourself. Even doing a challenge for 100 times the regal orb recipe is more fun because it will encourage running a iiq and iir build and has its ways of being pretty easy to get.

I don't really like that the challenges are basically ''get really luck with drops early on''.

I made a post on official forums, and also on this one (and a few others on here as well) complaining about this.

The last one standing cards will be like 10 ex end of month in standard softcore (nobody will run hall of grandmasters in regular hardcore for you to complete it) and time-lost relic is so extremely rare that you will never be able to match the botters and RMT'rs botting it.

I doubt more than 50-100 people will even be able to complete this challenge as hall of grandmasters maps are a pain to clear and maps to get and even less people get to do Excavation maps than hall of grandmasters.

These cards have a similar droprate to a Brittle emperor and it takes about 10 hours on a fast clearing build to obtain them. So yeah that challenge will be just impossible.

I meant especially in hardcore leagues as less people do uber in hardcore making the prices higher.

Nobody buys white base items as far as I know, they did last league to figure out some mods but at the moment not really.

I have some decent rares up always but they're only like 5-6 chaos and it takes a huge chunk out of my clear speed picking up rare items, identifying them, dropping / selling bad ones. At least now you can filter the base type so only the good base's show up.

I never found a good rare without crafting it myself.

If you run blood rage you can keep the energy shield low. The damage increase would mean you have more dps with a one hander than with a 2 hander even without the unholy might buff.

The item wasn't even required for the challenge last league only those garbage shields, boots and a ring that never dropped.

Should I run blood rage or blood dance with blast rain? Normally I'd do rage, but I'm doing phys to lightning on blast rain so I don't do any phys damage. That means I dont get the leech from blood rage. On the other hand, blood dance is kind of a mediocre pair of boots aside from the frenzy charge generation.
