I didn't say there isn't a limit. The general concept is that Alaya will give as much power to its CGs as needed to kill the target. CGs however still have a limit since there's only so much mana that EMIYA or any CG can channel due to the innate limits their circuits have.

There are two grails. One is the Greater Grail, which is the thing that's supposed to grant wishes and get the Grailbowl going. The other is the Lesser Grail, which is basically meant to aggregate the energy from fallen Servants and transfer the energy to the Greater Grail, which would then use the energy to grant whatever wish the last remaining participant of the war asked it to. The Lesser Grail would kinda work like a fuel injection and the ignition keys after it was done collecting the mana.

If you have Caesar, focus on him. He has a pretty decent attack stat compared to the other event Servants. You only need 12 Saber pieces and 15 Hero's Proof to ascend him and reach lvl50.

I'd recommend Darius but he asks for 5 Octuplet Twin Crystals for his second ascension and that's a bit hard already.

For high tier servants it would be enough of a nuisance to give him time to charge Caladbolg or something else. It's not entirely certain but it's less than nothing. Not really, Shirou mantained UBW for a few minutes or at least 1 minute by having Rin's mana and she was also supporting Saber. He also hadn't perfected UBW at all, in fact it was his first time using it and his circuits are way worse than Archer's.
Archer should be able to keep it up for a longer time than Shirou because of that, it's just logical. After you cast UBW the only cost is mantaining the RM, the projections are free.
Now i'm not talking about he keeping it up for an hour but he should be able to keep it up much longer than Shirou does.

I use two pounds, two flurry, and one slice. Pound + flurry = def down. Pound + slice = weight down. Flurry + Flurry into slice then pound is some good damage. Dont waste Battle potions at low levels. 6* cards go for 50 BP or AP (action pots) 5* +2 is more or less a 6*. A 5* +4 is definitely better than a base 6*.
