I asked this earlier yesterday but forgot to check back for the replies. What is the difference between Starbound and Terraria? I've only played Starbound by chance so I have no idea.

Well, Terraria has a better building system, because most things are in proportional blocks like Legos, which can be combined with each other to produce different shapes, instead of having "ready made" pieces like Starbound does, which is more like New Legos. The ones where each piece just does one thing, you know what I'm talking about.

Terraria also has a *lot* more content in terms of items, enemies, bosses, equipment, NPCs, quests, things to do etc.

Starbound is just overall more "streamlined" i.e. dumbed down.

What do you do when you have no options in life that would satisfy you anymore, and can't even reach mediocrity, /tg/?

Hey guys, new to Terraria here, I'm having a blast.
Does this game gets any harder? I mean yeah there's Hard mode but it's been a cakewalk so far. What should I do before fighting the wall of flesh? get better gear? build in the sky?

If you aren't prepared, the start of hardmode and the final boss can be very difficult. There's also a fish boss a lot of people seem to have trouble with. There's also expert mode if you aren't already on that, which makes the game much harder.

If you're going to fight the Wall of Flesh and you aren't in expert mode, you can fight him practically naked so long as you have a water walking potion. You can build something in the sky if you want, but I don't think it'll matter too much in the long run.

There are so many bosses after hard mode. I don't know if you've done any event bosses yet, but you're missing out on pretty much 2/3 of the game. Not to mention all the materials, equipment, etc.

If there's only one thing Starbound did well, it's that having blocks able to be background or foreground at will and being able to mass place blocks is super nice.
