who else is way more dedicated for building settlements than he should be?

every of my settlements is theme based
one for example has only settlers that wear raider armor. only 2-3 wear garbage, work on food in a restricted area and sleep in bedrolls in the open while everyone else is visiting the bar every night

another one is very militaristic. army suits, combat armor, shades, military barrets with bandanas and uses modded plasma-rifles. last time gunners attacked, they got their ass melted

so since the very start of the game, i've wanted to go for a sort of 'themed run' where i play as a delusional post-apocalyptic iteration of myself. i took a mirror, i made my character look a good amount like me. i had a couple rules, mostly pertaining to killing anyone who i thought resembled a mime (it's a long story).

i had gotten pretty far, cleared out spectacle island so i could live on it and establish the ultimate anti-mime fortification. but it was just today that i realized that a certain someone i had grown far too attached to had nearly all of my defining characteristics: black hair, pale skin, and a really prominent french accent.

i left behind my two finest weapons, my custom deliverer and the machete i'd been using since the start of the game. all of the other settlers on the island are gone, too, so there's no really turning back for someone like me now.

i'm sorry, guys. it had to be done. i can't break my own rules.

3dsmax exporter is being worked on still, right now fig wants to set up basic material rendering and exporting and make a one-stop export rather than Skyrim's idea of workflow where 100% every time you had to load up nifskope to fix up exported meshes to get them ready for the game.

Expired plans to add a character import/export, fix up slm for NPCs, dynamically add face paints/customization textures, add RGB skin/hair color, etc. To get all that in-game in UIs, scaleform will need to be decoded again which will probably happen. Traditional sliders could make a return also.

They wouldn't be so meme if Bethesda had any concept of realistic gameplay. As it is, power armored NPCs take tons more damage than they should, vertibirds are made of paper mache when they should really only be going down to gauss rifles, missiles and critical hits, and a man wearing a bathrobe and fedora is better protected than a soldier in full pre-war style combat gear can possibly achieve.

Still waiting for a master mod to just undo all of Bethesda's shitty gameplay design, and make combat immersive.

Havok never released the sdk for Havok Physics 2014 and then Microsoft bought Havok and removed everything available to the public on top of that. Fallout 4 uses Havok physics 2014. You either need that or need to hack into it to mess around with physics in the game, or both. I dunno.

It's basically the same thing as Skyrim but it's a lot harder and there's no interest in doing it from the necessary code monkeys.
