I joined 15 minutes before the end. Eliminator had done a lot of heavy bus in the round and had a good feel for what was right and what was not. Despite his recommendation not to message him and let it play, I still did and I warned him with a no shit, stern disappointed father warning.

I do not like special treatment and think the rules should be applied evenly. However, if we were slaved to the rules and they were unbreakable bulwarks then they would trap us just as much as keep us happy.

I trusted Elims judgement after looking at the players as a whole and seeing how much they enjoyed what happened. He had been there for the entire round and I had not.

It wasn't the act of a single person having singular fun for themselves at the cost of everyone else. No one spoke of unenjoyment.

The rules are there to make sure everyone can have fun. If the rules are not tailored for a singular, unpredicted experience then they have to be bent, or even ignored. The rules are not a suicide pact. They are there so everyone can have fun. In this case, setting them aside was the better option.

I gave him a warning for what was a one off, don't expect this to go well for you again, circumstantial act after consulting with the other admin that was online for the entire round and judged it to be fair play.

The progress for the day:

Fixed the bugs caused by handling the enemy arrays when they died. Soon "Use" and "Run" will actually do stuff, the enemy AI will be put in, and after that it's the intro+outro animations for combat.

Getting close to the core mechanics being secured.

Included in the webm are some new animations for the player sprite. I'm not very happy with the running anim but I think the fiddling with the PDA to manage your inventory is a nice touch.

It was. There were like 8 of us in the bar breaking all the windows and the glass windows some cargo guy was making for us. sec started showing up and the bartender was shooting people, giving them nasty bleeds. Shit spilled into the halls as the window breaking spread to other depts and attempted rescues of arrested rioters. Clown started lubing shit, some people broke through security windows which pissed everyone but the rioters off. Can't talk about the others but after the janitor left me the fuck alone, I got a real job cause people were starting to get some police brutality and we had no docs. rioter corpses started rolling in and there were a fair bit of catatonics and suicides. Like half the public access windows were broken.

I think cult is well balanced (except for the shuttle timer being RESET when narsie is summoned which is dumb as fuck). It is entirely dependent on who is playing cult.
