They drop an ingredient for some of the best armor you can make without diving deep into Sharance maze. If you just do Sharance before Rune Prana though you can get the very best weapons and armors just from loot drops, even from the first floors.

I don't know what weapon type is best, but I am really fond of spears because of their range and quick attack speed. In general though, I just use whatever the strongest weapon I can craft is.

Reaper Slash is my favorite special attack though, it's for spears and a wide slashing attack that covers a huge area around you and does very high singular damage. Since you can use any special move on any weapon, that attack is always bound to my Y button. It's so useful, and for weapons with short range it makes up for a lot of it because it has such an extended reach.

Turnips aren't really pricey anyway. Giant pink melons and giant strawberries have multiple harvests (indefinite if you keep soil quality good by hoe-ing corn or dead grass into the tile and compost level above 0) -- and can be sold for much more each.

They are, especially later in the game. Rune Plana will fuck you up However, I would recommend you do tame monsters, especially Buffamoos, Kekadoodles and Wollies because they give you useful drops like milk, eggs and wool, which actually is a fairly good income source. One large wool drop from a single Wooly is worth 700

I will eventually, I heard that farming in oceans is non existent, though I do not care, as long as combat and other game mechanics are okey.
Though the reason I picked Rune Factory 4 over Oceans and Frontier was because it was the latest one (even though I enjoyed Frontier much more) gotta keep up with the general m8 to not forget portable is convenient and easier to pick up.

There's a fuckton of JRPGs, stuff like Falcom games, GUST games, older series like Grandia, Valkyrie Profile, Breath of Fire, Mana series, Wild Arms, Illusion of Gaia and etc.

To be honest, I think JRPGs are more lively than ever, with FFXV, FFVII remake, Star Ocean, Atelier Sophie, NieR Automata and other stuff announced. But of them are only discussed at their own threads on /v/, console threads like Vita General or Nintendo General, or threads in other boards like GUST threads on /jp/.

I pointed out Disgaea and the Dept Heaven series because those have lots of mechanics behind them. More so the Dept Heaven games.
Falcom games, Grandia, Breath of Fire and even the Mana games don't have all that much need for a general, at least I think so.
Valkyrie Profile is pretty much dead in the water unless Hrist ever gets made.
Wild Arms could benefit from a general though.
And isn't Illusion of Gaia part of a series? That includes Terranigma and some other game?
But yeah, usually people use /v/ for all the talks but considering the hellhole that board as become, I migrated to /vg/ and sometimes /vr/.
