Feels good mang, A-10 fanboys are the worst. They advocate the use of an obsolete aircraft because muh BRRRRRRRRRRRT.

It's more the ability to carry a ton of ordnance and dump it, while remaining slow enough to minimize the number of passes needed.

>>
>>123787543
I get that it's more popular in EU, but all I really need is one populated server. It doesn't really matter if there's 200 servers or 1, since you can only play on one at a time anyways.
>>
>>123787760
Proofs?
>>
>>123786906
Multi-roles are able to do the same job while not needing to rely on other aircraft. A-10s cant even fly in lightly defend air defense systems, they are literally flying targets
>they sent A-10s to Syria but they wont use them for CAS because of all the SAM threats
top kek A10 babbys will still defend it though
>>
>>123787843
I saw the inventory of the german units at kursk. I can't be bothered to find them, but since you're claiming there were whole units of tigers, i'd like to see your reason for thinking that.

There were 2 groups of panthers though, around 100 in each.

"Heavy Tank Battalions" existed. I'm not going to claim there were Tiger divisions or even brigades, there clearly weren't. But these heavy tank battalions could and did have up to, or more than 30 Tigers at a time, and that Webm probably depicts one.

The Initial attack in fact was spearheaded by 45 Tigers belonging to 505th Heavy Tank Battalion.
-Clark, Lloyd (2012). Kursk: The Greatest Battle: Eastern Front 1943.
>>
>>123786478
What do I replace them by?
>>
>>123789501
A Battalion in WW2 is a platoon in WW3.
>>
>>123788768

Surprising, because the Grossdeutschland alone had a heavy tank battalion permanently assigned to it, and I know two other heavy tank battalions were present for Citadel. Max strength for one of those battalions is 45 Tigers, and per wiki the 503rd had 42 of 45 combat ready 4 days before the battle.

Jagers are weak infantry alone, they derive their power from spammability. At 10+5pts per squad they can cost efficiently destroy spets, at 10+10 they don't. Strong shock or SF like RIMA, Legion, or FSJ should be taken in more expensive wheeled transports because you don't buy as many of them.

LNS listed a whole bunch of tech that is going to be featured in an upcoming module and the JA 37 seems to fit all of them.

Viggen was designed for hit and run slashing attacks, it bleeds speed like a motherfucker in a turn. iirc since Sweden knew they'd be fucked trying to fight off the VVS in furballs it was better just to use hit and run + datalinked flights with decent BVR to slap out as many as possible then leg it back to base. Main advantage on its side is Technology™, and lots of it.

if it is the Viggen they better give it the Swedish AIM-4

>>
>>123801346
I don't know where you got that. LNS has been F-14 levels of hinting at the Viggen. That's a given at this point.

The only question is what the other plane is, and considering they were modeling a low quality version of A6M gear (presumably for an AI plane) and had the picture of a cockpit of a Corsair a while ago in an F-14 teaser image, their other plane is possibly a Corsair, although that one is less certain.

Can an East German regiment fight through 15 kilometers of challengers in 6 hours?
>>
>>123793084
http://www.cgsc.edu/CARL/nafziger/943GGBA.pdf

Lists the German OOB, compiled from sources at the end of the pdf. 503rd, 505th, and 507th Heavy Panzer Battalions served at Kursk, in addition to Grossdeutschland's organic heavy panzer battalion. 503rd and 505th were armed with Tiger Is, 507th was reorganized on the eve of battle into another unit and was comprised of Panthers. Grossdeutschland's 3rd Panzer Battalion was armed with 14 Tiger tanks, and another 12 were present in the SS Liebstandarte Adolf Hitler division. Das Reich and Totemkopf's numbers are not listed, but I wouldn't be surprised if they both had a Tiger battalion as well. So yes, there were definitely more than just 12 Tigers at Kursk.

There's no special strategy for the maps that doesn't apply to general gameplay. In addition, rigid strategies tend to fall apart in war game because the matches are so fluid and every deck has a different set of units you can exploit/have to look out for. Just outright asking for strategies for these maps is retarded, go watch some pro player replays and copy what they do if you really need your hand held that much.
>>
>>123826183
you're lazy for asking, actually think about the map next time instead of mindlessly deploying counters that other people told you

>>
>>123825067
Oh, rushing is an ok strategy, but I suggested a way how to kill a rush.

I guess my strategies don't use rushes past midway, only how to stifle them. I love it when the enemy rushes since I usually know how to stop it and use it for my advantage.

On nuclear winter, going across the bridges with a lot of tanks and AA is hardly expected and will throw off most people. You need to have air superiority fighters though to cover them as they are crossing though. Do this mid or later game. You want to give him enough time to get most of his fighting force up in the front lines while you barely hold him off. Build up on the otherside of the river and launch it when you feel you have enough to make a difference.

Give another map name and I'll try to give you a suggestion.

I know you're just shitposting, but for the benefit of anyone who happens to be listening, I'll explain.

R-27ETs actually outrange the R-77, even in head on engagements. Although you shouldn't really be trying to fight an F-15 head on, you can sometimes make it work when you're against a really cocky F-15 that doesn't crank as soon as he fires off an AMRAAM.

In a head on engagement (which again, you really shouldn't be doing, but shit happens), what I typically do is fire one off at almost max range. Basically, as soon as the ET gets a "tone" I fire away a single one and then immediately turn tail. By the time you're in range for an ET shot, he's already fired at least one AMRAAM and the ET doesn't need you guiding it so there's no reason to keep flying in his direction. For extra misdirection, lock him up with your radar before you fire and turn around.

At that point, if he's an idiot, he'll fly right into your ET thinking you're not guiding an ER anymore. This works a lot more often than it really should.

Aside from that, I carry a 2 R-27ET and 4 R-73 loadout on the MiG-29 because you'll rarely be in a position to guide an ER all the way into its target, and the fire and forget capability is too valuable. As long as you're doing hit and run attacks while popping up from over mountains, you'll be fine with just IR missiles and you'll be playing to the MiG-29's strengths. The MiG-29 has a crappy radar, so it's kinda not especially useful in the BVR arena.

>>123833878
The thing with ETs is that they're actually very easy to spoof, but if you're doing it right, your target won't ever know you've even fired on them. That's why the extra range is so valuable. It lets you make silent IR kills from much further out than you normally would with just R-73s.

R-27ETs are one of my favorite missiles in the game. They're a wonderful tool in the sneeki breeki arsenal of the game's Russian fighters.

>>123826945

You also need to be sure you killed all their nukebombers. Nothing stops a well orchestrated rush like clusterbombs/artillery.

What plane is it? EOS means russian and given the number of pylons I assume it's a mig-29?
>>

It's from the POV of a Su-27, the victim is an F-15.
>>

>>
>>123848583
In DCS or real life? In real life it's a lot more than just that like >>123849231 said.

In DCS, if you take away the AMRAAM, the F-15 still has a much better radar and better big picture SA with its RWR, but the fire and forget advantage then goes to the Russians with the R-27ET. However, at least with the ET you get a big missile plume if you see the launch. With the AMRAAM's (and even the AIM-9M to a lesser extent) smokeless motor you'll never see the launch. The AIM-9M, although not as maneuverable as the R-73, is much more difficult to spoof and has a surprisingly long reach.

Kinematically, the F-15 is still faster and can climb like a rocket.

I think in an AMRAAMless DCS, the F-15 would have a harder time against the Russian planes because of their EOS. I've always felt that the EOS was the "balancing factor" if you want to call it that, to the AMRAAM's powerful fire and forget capability.

Fighting with only Sparrows and Sidewinders is a little awkward, and definitely requires you to change up your tactics and rely less on your radar. It's also a really fun way to fly the F-15.
>>
>>123868969
Every once in a blue moon some server runs AIM-7 vs R-27R/T and it is more fun than it may sound like.

You'd think the advantage would go to red because of the R-73 when the combat is forced closer, but i find the sparrow actually is a good missile within its limited range compared to the ER or AIM-120.
>>
>>123870276
That's because the range on the R-27R is appalling and the R-27T is just a bit longer than the 73.
>>
>>123870276
Anything that gives me an excuse to use Sparrow missiles makes me happy. They are my guilty pleasure and I always take at least 4 when I fly out in the F-15.

Let's assume both superpowers don't go apeshit in the first 10 minutes and at least try to fight a conventional war before one ragequits via massive nuclear launch.
What are the odds of spillover in a hypothetical WW3 scenario? With the Superpowers otherwise too occupied to keep the peace, would the rest of the globe follow suit?
Norks vs South Korea?
China vs Vietnam?
India vs Pakistan?
Israel vs Arabs?

What, you expect an African country that's somewhat developed but still African with a small white community that rides it alone to be able to stop an insurgency which is supported by major powers?
>>
>>123887018
It's a hard question to answer because it's hard to deny the sheer volume of work that goes into a map like it. FSX modders charge similar prices for smaller areas that aren't even as detailed or big as ED's NTTR.

If I didn't already buy it like a good goy, I would say it should be around 15-20 dollars, but it's really more the principle of the matter.

I don't like the idea of fragmenting an already small community into two with $50 map, and it's only going to get worse as they add more terrains. I know it's unrealistic, but I wish they would let anybody who didn't have the map, play on servers that have the map. Owning the map would then mean you have access to play singleplayer missions, make your own missions, or host your own server on NTTR. This way there's still a lot of value in owning the map yourself (you get a ton of flexibility and conveneince) but you're not fragmenting an already tiny MP community to hell and back.

No. This is what happens when you pander to casuals in a genre notorious for being inaccessible to them. It's Planetary Annihlation and Grey Goo all over again. No one wants boring 'move here. Stop. Move again. Build-a-blob-and-1A' RTS games. There's no fucking market for it. There never was. The only reason some games got away with it during 'golden age' was because the genre was so new.

The only reason Wargame even sells as well as it does is because at least it's smart enough to pander to nationalistic autists who don't care about gameplay.

Has there been anything new since Act of Aggression flopped hard?
>>
>>123896253
I love it when a poster's source betrays him.
That's about 2,300 F15s and F-16s to the 1330 Flankers and Fulcrums.
Nevermind that excludes:
>The entire US F-18 fleet
>Danish F-16s
>Norwegian F-16s
>W. German Tornadoes and modernized F-4s
>British Tornadoes
>French M2Ks
>Belgian F-16s
>Dutch F-16s
>Canadian F-18s
The NATO 4th gen advantage is probably even greater than 4 to 1 in Europe alone. Nevermind the large reserves of M3s, F-4s, F-5s, etc... which leaves the Pact 3rd gen advantage irrelevant.
>>
>>123898364
RD is still kicking, it easily reaches 1000~ players in prime time. F-15C
MiG-29 (SFM for now)
Su-33 (SFM for now)
Su-25A
A-10A (lol)

They're all fun aircraft, idk about your region but for me it's £16. Its definitely been worth it for me.

But then again if none of those aircraft interest you, then of course it's not worth it.
>>
>>123909380
F-15C and MiG-29 if you want more variety. The MiG-29 is a little different from the Su-27, but the F-15C flies and fights totally differently. The older Su-25 is better at firing dumb munitions and isn't as awkward to fly, and the Su-33 gives you a carrier plane that's a pretty fun alternative to the Su-27 that can do aerial refueling.

I wouldn't buy it at $40 if you already have the Su-27, but if it goes on sale it's definitely worth looking into.
>>
>>123908521
DCS modules likely won't go on sale for much cheaper than what you see now, they stated that they are no longer going to do large discounts like -80% or -70% off anymore.

-40% is likely the best you'll get

>>123909380
Absolutely. The fact that when you get into multiplayer you had the freedom to play whatever your mood switches to is pretty nice. Especially if it's East vs West and you need to play something like the F-15 for team balance or something.

shit b8 desu. I'm not surprised that f-15 pilots are unaware of the fact that range increases with the altitude of you and your opponent. This is for Aim-7, but it talks about range and the factors that come into play for other missles, which still apply to the 120. I found a table like this for the 120 the other day but I can find it anymore.

It doesn't play well currently, barely ever see vehicles, and when you do see them they are mostly luck based, and not nearly as skill based as MoW2.

>Luck based
wat? How are they luck based? I mean, there's problems with vehicles right now pricing wise, but other then that they work exactly like AS2 ones except much more flammable

Also,

>Skill based
It's worlds better than as2's 'autocannons. Autocannons everywhere' meta of grabbing some speedy light vehicle and marauding around wiping half an army unless your opponent buys a counter-vehicle or you get overly cocky and hit by an AT nade.
>>
>>123921008
No they don't
>>
>>123922016
Actually, you're right, they work even better, because you can't spend 240mp and get a laser accurate autocannon that ignores(And usually destroys) almost all forms of cover, has splash damage, kills almost all vehicles below medium tanks in a single burst(As well as AT guns. Most of which it can match range with and accurately at that.), and is mounted on a speedy chasis impervious to small arms fire and even AT rifles to a good degree.

Compared to that, stuff like a 300mp Humvee with a 50 cal seems pretty limp and, I dunno, more tactics-heavy.
>>
>>123922492
Support vehicles not being viable isn't tactics.
I basically get 1 unit as USA and maybe sometimes switch in something else than marksman squad. This works nearly always.
>>
>>123925117
I'd say they are pretty damn viable, they just aren't the god-mode answer-to-all-your-problems that light vehicles are in AS2. You're forced to be more careful with them, and that's the way it should be. The only problem with vehicles right now is that some of them are too expensive(Namely Strykers and BMPs.). And the mortar needs either a major price reduction or a major buff in damage. The actual mechanics of the vehicles are rock solid.

When the competitive scene for AS2 has to get together and work on a mod to nerf the fuck out of shit like autocannons for future tournaments, that says a lot.
>>
>>123926058
Autocannons were actually nerfed in the as2 balance patch.

And i didn't mind there was tools to destroy idiots who didn't comprehend anti tank or support weapons.

Autocannons were laughably stomping said counters. You didn't even need to see them. As long as you know their general area the splash damage alone will kill off any sort of AT infantry and AT gun, and vehicles are a terrible over-investment. They aren't 'nerfed', they're still ridiculous as fuck right now. They bring way too much killing potential to the table for such a cheap price and at such an early stage of a match. You can have one out in the opening 3-4 minutes of the game and summarily put your opponent ridiculously far behind because there's no remotely reasonable way he can invest in enough AT to cover all of his sectors from the 'free win' vehicles speeding through and instantly annihilating spread-out infantry behind cover.

Hence why there is such an agregious over-reliance on shit like brandenburgers, kamikaze, and charge. People have to over-invest to defeat an early game unit.

Against the front of a T-90 or Abrams yes, but you can either use the ripple fire or hit them from the side/rear, air defenses allowing. You could also just chuck some Kh-25/29s on to one-shot the bigger tanks if you felt the need.

The plane it easy to use and it still is shit. I've flown it quite a lot before coming to that conclusion. That just shows how flawed Russian war tactics are and how obsolete the Russian air force is. Su-25 get shot down in syria every other day because of this reason.

It has not managed to disappoint me past the initial frustrations of learning the game thus far. The game is 90% customizable, but otherwise models a lot of factors very well in-depth. C3, COMINT, SIGINT, etc. are modeled. The UI's not too appealing, but otherwise easy to learn and master within a few games.

Here I'm attacking the West Germans with custom units from a custom faction (East Germans) on a custom map.

But one thing that Flashpoint is good at is making micromanagement unnecessary. It favors long-term strategic planning over tedious management of hero units.

Not even a question, T-80A is significantly better.

For just 10 points you get 3 AP, extra accuracy, and extra range.

Dumb thing I noticed is that lot of euro game devs are eurocentric to all fuck but refuse to acknowledge it/forum ban people that do.

Russian devs tend to do the same, but they get called out on it a ton, and either deny it completely or say "deal with it".

Asian devs flat out say their own shit is better.

US devs on occasion make the US somewhat worse in game to try and deflect "hometown bias".

anything Chinese, lol.

Outside of that I recall there's a couple online shooters where Korean guns are above average, and the devs said something along that likes that the K1 combines the best of M16 and AK47, and thus better.

But balance in those games is all shifting FOTM to squeeze money.

It isn't. Times have changed. What do you even get that's so great for honcorps that other factions don't do better? You get marder 2+Panzergrens, jägerspam, french bias rafale and then what? Why not MoW? Wargame MOUT is really gamey and unsatisfying. The laser AT and it's ease of use makes it all about zerging and flame artillery. There's none of that grit and intimacy.

I really wish Wargame would do a complete rework of infantry combat to make it more immersive instead of being slow, soft vehicles with short engagement ranges. Some maps would be a lot more fun with city combat. They kinda make it impossible to have decent support vehicle force multipliers within the city itself instead of hanging out on the outskirts. I blame the dumb tile system coupled with the whole grouping infantry up in a 40-man swarm-box thing.
>>
>>123977447
Flying planes is piss easy. I don't know why people make such a big stink out of it being hard.

The only difficult part that takes time to learn comes from knowing how the systems work and radio stuff which the simpler jets (anything FC3 and the Su-25T) don't even have to deal with.

Training missions and free-flight servers. Though it's not as intimidating as it looks, anon. Get a cheap flight stick and try out the free Su-25T. For start up you only need to press a whopping total of three buttons, and then it's just a matter of easing on the throttle to push yourself forward, with the rudder keys for turning to get yourself on the runway, and eventually into the air.

Compared to most simulators, it's absurdly easy to get into, even if you pick one of the more involved clicking-cockpit modules to start with(Actually, especially so, since you don't have to remember hotkeys). I'd probably avoid the MiG-21 and Ka-50 as your starting aircraft, though. Flaming Cliffs 3 is super accessible and gives you tons of plans to choose from. If the sale is over now, it'll probably return around the christmas sale.

>>
>>123978176
>>123978327
Of course they're good, or I wouldn't recommend them. The free Su-25T is very simple and easy to fly even if it handles like a brick when loaded and can carry a lot of air to ground weapons.

You shouldn't need a stick to find out if the game interests you, but if you buy any module beyond or want to get into the game I'd get a stick.

>>123978620
How much do you want to spend?
Do you want crap that you will be swapping out for a real stick if you get into sims or do you want to take the risk and go straight to a medium tier stick like the X-52 Pro?
>>
>>123978620
If you want something cheap, get a logitech 3d extreme pro. You can find it pretty much anywhere that might sell a flight stick, like best buy or walmart or something, or online on amazon and shit.

FYI, here are the new visibility settings for 2.0. They're very strange, mostly because of the changes to maxsize. It makes me wonder if they've changed how the imposters are drawn, because in the old system using these values means that the maxsize is effectively taking the place of what minsize used to do.

1.5.1 values are in parenthesis.

Small
>maxsize 2 (20)
>minsize 4.0 (6.0)
>alphaExp 0.75 (0)

Medium
>maxsize 4 (20)
>minsize 6.0 (8.0)
>alphaExp 0.5 (0)

Large
>maxsize 7 (20)
>minsize 8.0 (10.0)
>alphaExp 0.15 (0)

I tested these settings in 1.5.1 to see how they work and it hugely reduces the effectiveness of spotting at medium ranges. I get a lot of the "classic" pixel flickering. At long ranges it works kind of like it does right now in 1.5.1 but with more transparency and slightly smaller imposters.

I doubt ED changed how rendering works, but I won't be able to find out for a couple weeks because 2.0 is downloading at a blazing 10KB/s.

Most of the time hasn't been the map itself, it's been the new graphics engine and multi-map support afaik NTTR is just the testbed, like the :-39 is for multi-pilot. NTTR has basicly been made twice at this point, one on the old graphics engine, once on the new.
>>
>>123981892
After pointing my dcs_local_source.txt at the 1.5 install versus my 1.2 install, I managed to download and get 2.0 installed and running.

I did some quick visibility tests to see how the new settings look in 2.0. At 2560x1440, stuff within 10 miles looks like dots. Stuff past that gets really hard to see. Like the original system, aspect makes a huge difference between seeing a flickering dot and seeing nothing at all.

2.0 still suffers from the huge resolution dependency problem. Stuff gets a lot easier to see at lower resolutions. Before, with the silly big icons it didn't matter as much because they were big enough to be super big at high resolutions as well. Small imposter sizes on the other hand accentuate the resolution differences, meaning something that's easy to see at 1600x900 can be maybe a pixel or two at 2560x1440.

>>123990950
By that logic, why are you bitching about the first of many new maps for the first time in over a decade?
>>
>>123990950
The only interesting plane you listed was the MiG-25. It's the interceptor role of the MiG-21 taken to its logical extreme. It probably wouldn't be that effective at anything other than knocking down bombers from one country over, but at least it's a combat plane that does stuff, and depending on the version we got, it might be able to be outfitted with more general purpose missiles.

The Su-47 was a one-off tech demonstrator that was never going to fly in combat. The F-117 would be boring as shit to fly. All you do is follow your pre-planned flight and if you planned well nothing interesting happens. If you planned bad, you'll die because you have no way to defend yourself.
>>
>>123990950
More the fact that those aircraft are completely unsuited to DCS.

>F-117 is just fucking boring, for it to be interesting we'd need better radar simulation and cunning SAM AI, preferably with an enemy IADS AI commander.

>MiG-25, yeah maybe... but I don't think the DCS maps are really suited to high and fast interceptors. I'd still buy it though.

>As for Su-47, I shouldn't need to explain why this is stupid. It's a fucking tech demostrator, why don't we get the EAP too if we're being that retarded?

C)It's the most boring possible choice, alongside doing some shitty map in Israel or Syria to piggy-back on current events or something. Who the fuck cares about some boring, featureless desert besides airsoft faggots?

t-80 is more effective vs transports and tanks, 72a versus infantry. I prefer 72a for small games and t-80 for team games.
>>
>>123991660
The fact that they promised to release it for free for people who bought the A-10C beta back in 2010 is a contributing factor, too. Plus they basically absorved the people who were originally doing the NTTR map back in 2013 to get it going because the original idea of having it as a third party map didn't go very well or something I can't remember.

If anything, the NTTR map is a demonstration for the graphical capabilities of what DCS World 2.0 can achieve. It wouldn't be wise to just add new stuff and stay on the old, limited feature speaking of course Caucasus map.

Unless you got the A-10C beta back in 2010 I did I'd look at this twice before buying it, however.
>>
>>123991660
>because it's quality is laughably bad
Flying around it for ~20 minutes before getting back to work and I'm really impressed by how dense and unique all the buildings are. It really does look like they use a map of Vegas as reference and built a practically 1:1 model of the city.

Like I said earlier in this thread, this map is larger and more detailed than some of the top tier FSX scenery addons.

If you think a big ass desert with nothing in it is boring, then that's fine and fair. Don't buy it and hopefully it sends some kind of message to ED. I don't really care for the map either for exactly that reason but I don't think it's fair to say it looks like something out of 1946. It's really not worth $50 unless you have a humongous raging hard on for Red Flag scenarios.

Trouble is you can't get away with just tiling the same texture over and over in a desert terrain like you can in the Caucasus. So you have to use satellite data, and the file-size gets very big very fast without a degree of compression.

This begs the question, then, that if they can't do it right, why do it at all? Why not tackle something more interesting, like some populated area in Europe, Asia, or the US instead of an empty, boring as shit desert? Hell, why not throw everyone a curveball and do some jungle area like Southeast Asia or South America, or finally do a map in Korea since there is several aircraft from the era? There are so many directions they could have gone and they picked the worst possible one. I think the only way they could have exceeded this location was if they picked Antartica or Alaska. At least with Alaska you kind of get this theme of believable arctic circle WW3.
>>
>>123993506
>why do it at all?
They picked up the torch from a third party and used NTTR as a testbed for the process of adding new maps.

>Why not tackle something more interesting,
Straight of Hormuz is in the pipe but I don't see that looking any different to NTTR. Which I'm not yet convinced is ugly, it's probably one of the best looking flight sim terrains out there. But that might say more about the state of flight sim visuals than anything else.

>finally do a map in Korea
I live in hope, with both a '50s & '90s version would be dope as fuck.
>>
>>123993506
This guy already explained why NTTR happened. >>123992425 It came from A-10C where the map was originally promised (and actually playable in the old engine), but then they turned it into a testbed for the new engine and used it develop 2.0. It's a big ass desert with nothing in it, so it's an easy way to test something as huge as rewriting the entire graphics engine and who knows what else completely from scratch.

It sucks, and I don't dispute that I wish they used something more interesting and actually applicable to a red vs blue scenario, but there's your answer to why NTTR.

There is a larger demand for WW2 games than modern jets as evidenced by how popular games like warthunder/ CLOD are. It's just currently pointless to get into DCS WW2 because there are no historical units or maps for the warbirds. That's like making a WW2 map with WW2 units then releasing a modern jet module and promising a modern map will be released in time. It wouldn't be popular and for good reason.

If realistic BVR was a thing in DCS f-15's would have some advantages. But that goes without saying that pilot skill is the major determining factor in AIR combat. Most pilots employ tactics to counter the disadvantages of their aircraft and who ever does that better can usually win.

This is the reason why both side's missiles are fucked. ED has fucked with the missiles so much to appease people that they borderline ruined BVR. I remember when 10+ mile low altitude AIM-120 kills were possible. Now most people shoot at 10 miles and under.

Depends which F-16A. Block 15s (which were the most commonly produced F-16A/Bs) could carry Sparrows. The MiG-21's missiles have about equivalent range to a Sidewinder so even if it couldn't carry AIM-7s it wouldn't matter that much.

This minimal difference in range is something else that's going to seriously hurt the MiG-21 against the F-5E. Honestly the MiG-21 doesn't have much going for it in a fight against an F-5E aside from its straight line speed.

Bunyap was an F-117 maintainer, so he's one of those people who has a personal connection to the area and would be really excited for it.

That looks terrible.
>>
>>124077718
They're both lacking color. I think the word you're looking for is contrast.
