I would love to have that FF7 HD port for Vita. I live in EU and we have the original PAL PS1 Classic in here, which runs worse than the NTSC one. Would really love to have the new version with updated textures and trophies and all that jazz. Of course I could just buy the US version with US account and play it with my US PS TV, but... would really want to have that newer port more, especially since it's now coming on PS4. Wouldn't be technically impossible to port it for Vita.

It's a shame that they just don't give two fucks about Vita anymore.

Doll Master Lilian. People usually say that dolls have shit damage in the game, or at least early on when you get them. I didn't really think that was a problem, it was nice to do something else while the dolls did some damage too. Though you can't get to the Joker if you choose Doll Master, and now that I've been using Joker I just don't want to let go of that.

The game was pretty much an extension of the demo, same flow, same pace, same difficulty (that is to say, none at all). Famitsu said it takes 40 hours, but normal clear is probably 20 at most. Maybe they were referring to that retarded 21-hour trophy.

My biggest problem is when it loses momentum after Chapter 4, about 2/3rds of the way in, that meme where a comedy always has to get serious for some reason. Chapter 5 was the turning point, and the game got less and less funny until the end, though it was still interesting enough to finish. There's an eyebrow-raising twist, and a nice little NTR bad end.

It's a shame because Chapter 4 was incredibly funny, having Sugita and Kakuma (Ion's VA) in the same scene was a fucking riot, I thought I was going to die when Sugita started imitating her, and it's going to be hard playing a nosurge game again without remembering gyaru-mode Ion.

Overall, decent and really entertaining. The last scene says to look forward to a sequel, but who knows if they're thinking that now.

The best fit is probably Stranger of Sword City. It's serious from start to end, no pandering stuff aside from a couple of lines. The localized version releases in March though.

Operation Abyss is also of the serious type.

Demon Gaze is good but I guess it's also kinda light hearted/comfy.

Another possibility is Elminage Original, which is in a similar category as Class of Heroes. It doesn't really have much story, but the setting + dungeons + monsters might be what you are looking for.

The combat isn't even my biggest gripe. It's cluttered compared to Oath in Felghana and Origin, sure, but that's peanuts compared to the reused dungeon themes, horrible artifact mechanics (whose idea was a large 3D underwater area, especially in a game with no camera control), bastardization of classic Ys IV songs (IF they were kept in the game at all) and more.
