That's kind of her thing. Unlike all of the other minor antagonists who mostly have sort of twisted-but-kind-of-well-meaning intentions or insane trauma, she just loves Despair. Not every villain has to have rational motivations.

"Recently, I feel like more bad guys in games are given a harsh background of some kind that explains their evilness in the present day. But that feels like cheating to me. I felt like the most dangerous thing about Junko would be that she doesn't have any reason to do the things she does. So I incorporated that into her character all the way through the game, as thoroughly as possible."

You're in for a ride. By the end of Nagito's FTEs, you'll either begin to forgive him or feel some sympathy/pity - most of his odd behavior will be explained. It only solidified his place as one of my most liked DR characters. 'Maeda's one of my favorite characters in the series, really. He's second to Junko in smarts and is surprisingly capable considering his ailments.

I think part of Junko's appeal is that there's so much we just don't know, she has a kind of mystique this way. Every fan can fill in the gaps besides what little we can glean from Mukuro and Matsuda's recollections. (Homeless at some point, Junko was destructive and very bright at a young age.) Much like, lots of the Tragedy that's unknown, everyone can have their own interpretation of Junko's past but it's kinda nice to have a villain for the sake of a villain.

I'd rather the game have executions based off of each persons SHSL skill.

I was disappointed to see people like Celeste with an execution that had nothing to do with gambling, but instead burning her and crashing a bus into her. Even Naegi and Kirigiri had the same exact execution planned for them both.

At least in the 2nd game, nearly everyone's made sense because it was related to their skill. It adds a great amount of irony to the mix to see them die against something they're absolutely best at.

do you guys think things would have played out differently if Asahina killed Togami in chapter 4?

I have thought of some alternate execution for the some of the DR cast.

Gundam - Stampete 2.0 - He looks left and right for a safe place to put his hamsters, but he cant find one, he draws the magic circle, and leaves his hamsters with his scarf in the circle, he then charges the stampede, and the red and black shot?

Instead of Gundam getting hit, its Gundam hitting Monokuma with a Kamen Rider kick, both of them are run over by the stampede, the scene goes on a usual.

Mondo - Kyodai? - Mondo is forced to replay the race aginst his brother, except its actually Ishimaru with a white coat, Mondo drives freely this time, but when he reaches Ishimaru (whom he thinks it is his brother), Monokuma who is driving, makes Ishi mimic his move, the result, Ishimaru kicks Mondo, this time causing Mondo to crash and die.

Chiaki - Emperor - This one imitates Saint Seiya.

Chiaki who is wearing Monomi as an cloth, similar to the series, rushes thru a corridor and finally reaching and opening a door, they see a throne room, they see a unconsious Chihiro on a throne, Alter Ego and Junko.

Junko presses a key on Alter Ego laptop, the screen goes red and then shuts down, some cables glow red, as if Alter Ego is being uploaded to Chihiro, Chihiro then wakes up and draws his sword, Chiaki is too shocked to even move, Chihiro slashes Chiaki multiple times, making a Monokuma red eye on her chest, Chihiro then expands his hands outwards, release a black and red energy, Chiaki's wounds expands as the energy goes, and as a result she is skinned alive, the last thing you see, is a shot of bloody hand.

Makoto/Kirigiri (replaces detention)/Sayaka (theme) /Komaeda (fear of heights) - Show Biz - One of them start moving on its own, as if they are a puppet, they suddenly notice that they are walking towards a tight rope, Monokuma makes them walk with equilibrium until they reach the middle, and returns movement back to them, they all fall, but in Makoto's case, Alter Ego opens a trapdoor.

Alter Execution part 2

Toko - Denied - Toko is in a labirinth, running from a wave of boiling ink, she reaches a dead end, with a ledge that is too far for her to reach, Togami is there with reaching with his hand, but she still cant reach his, so Fukawa cuts her hair, and uses it as a rope, reverse Rapunzel style, Togami starts pulling her up, but suddenly Monokuma, mimicking Genosider, stabs Togami's hand with a scissor, causing Fukawa to fall into boiling ink.

Seems pretty ironic barring Chiaki and rope execution.

About Chiaki, i just wanted to see Monokuma making a execution based on family because she mention hers.

That being said, specifically for what you're talking about, during the confusion of when the bodies started appearing during the third trial, she found the secret room, and the mastermind must not have noticed her seeing it. Kirigiri told Makoto this because Makoto made a big deal about they need to trust each other, so she decided to let him know about that hidden room.She didn't send him to the room, nor did she know that Makoto would be attacked. Perhaps she suspected that something like that might happen, but maybe it wouldn't have been such an issue if Makoto didn't decide to go there alone in the middle of the night. It's not like she planned to send him there, but she decided to let him in on it, because he wanted her to trust him. And then immediately afterwards he decides to keep a secret from her. He may have had justification for it, but from Kyoko's point of view, it was a dick move. But when she figures it out, she apologizes and said she overreacted.

That's actually one of the things that got me in chapter 5 because he has a waifu but has to learn that she isn't real and has to vote for her. I hate it when a character loses his/her waifu/husbando. It's just way too cruel.
