What are your guys' opinions on progressing through the storyline? Do you prefer leveling and getting higher skills before becoming the Dragonborn or is it better to just roll with the storyline?

I've been playing this game since day 1 and there's just something keeping me from doing the storyline because I'm afraid I'll be too weak for the content but then when I do get strong enough the story becomes extremely boring for me. Not sure if it's a psychological issue or if I've just been conditioned by the other mmorpgs that I've played in the past, but what's certain is it's not making the game any fun...

I've spent the good part of today installing some mods and I'm now ready to play but before I do I just wanted to ask what /tesg/ thinks

thanks, i'll try those. the reason i don't like its DoF is because it makes my character blurry when playing 3rd person. i play with the camera shifted to the right and the DoF focuses on the center of the screen. when i center the camera, my character is sharp, but things right in front of me are blurry. it seems ok for screenshots tho.

Eh I've been playing Skyrim on and off for almost a year now. I've played a lot of quest mods, beaten most of the vanilla quests and whatnot, tried out different builds.

Do you plan on doing them all at once or one after the other? If so, its best to have a back-up since quest mods lingering in your game can bog it down with scripts. Quest mods are usually a complete and roll back type of thing. The only exception I find would be Wheels of Lull, which is more DLC than a quest mod since it has endgame content that makes it worth keeping in your game.

I have a strange problem. Whenever I barely tap lmb on Skyrim my weapon doesn't swing UNLESS I have a shield equipped. It won't register whenever I don't have a shield equipped unless I keep it held down for just a tiny bit longer. I use 2 handed weapons so this is a slight issue. I had a guard in whiterun say he was going to keep an eye on me on loop while standing on a pile of guard corpses. After finishing the game to their satisfaction, a lot of people treat the game as a playground to do with whatever they want. There's nothing left to do story/quest-wise, and that's where the Creation Kit/GECK comes in.
Sure, you can mod the game a lottle more to create a distinctively different playthrough, like using Frostfall and various mods that create a different gameplay experience, but even that reaches and ending point.
If it's possible, and you no longer have much interest in doing playthroughs, why not see what else you can do? The possibilities have a very high ceiling in regards to their limitation. There's really hours of points I could bring up trying to explain this to you, but I don't really have the time as it's nearing bedtime, but since your focus is on porn and mods that make characters look unrealistically attractive and scantily clad, I mean look around. I'm playing a pure mage with clothing with perks from Ordinator to actually make it viable.

I downloaded a mod for some clothes but they came in light armour, so I edited them via TES5Edit to be clothing and removed their armour rating. Ingame they show as clothing but walking around is giving me light armour skill, did I fuck up?
