FE4 gets mindlessly shat on now by people now. Its certainly not the best in the series but rather than people explaining their reasoning by mentioning the balance issues, horses being way too good, and the shittiness that is Chapter 7 they just shout "kagashit maps2big can't even trade" everytime a picture of Sigurd is posted.

As for why I don't think its shit, its a fun game due to the generation system not being half-assed and the ability to use every unit at once is pretty fun. Its the first game in the series for non-MCs to talk outside of recruitment conversations. Gen 2 is extremely replayable and the music is amazing. Its not my favorite nor would I say its close to being the best but its fun.
