When you first start the game, the cross-class system is new and cool and it's like, "Oh hey, I can heal ! I'm helping !" It kind of sucks when the reality sinks in that you can't really get much use out of the cross-role cross-classes.

There's one specific boss fight I like to go to as my Guardian because I heal as her. Metafags will tell you that healing is useless and you should only do damage, meanwhile I'm keeping sub-optimal players alive whereas they would have died and prolonged the fight and keeping myself alive through hard-hitting attacks required for mechanics. Feels so badass.

The other day in an Alexander Normal, the healers were ignoring Discoid as usual as Rin MT'd it as a warrior. She Holmgang'd, and when it was almost up I crit healed her for like 12k or something. It felt so badass to save her like that, it's just too bad it only lasted a few seconds because I was out of MP and the healers were still refusing to heal.

It's so nice that Paladin actually has started to feel like a Paladin this patch. Dex+Faith was always my favourite build in both the Dark Souls games. Jesus Christ please let the PVP be good again in 3.

I think hard-hitting combat is for one-player games. Early levels, especially in an MMO, wants to ease you in. It won't get too much harder later (until you get to certain dungeons, like Honor of the Waves Story Mode, or try SPvP) but that was a major complaint from the players about the ease of PvE combat, so the enemies got ramped up for two new areas to the northwest (gotta be 80) and especially for the expansion.

Well to be fair it seems like no one doing localisation consulted anyone else. Which is honestly the major issue I have with localisation in general. Change it if you must but maintain a dialogue with the original script-writers to keep the feel correct.

I know the Japanese writers and cutscene makers have a lot of shit they need to wrangle through involving depictions of violence and things to avoid certain ratings or being outright banned in some countries because they have very timid views on that sort of thing.
