Seems like it. "です" is basic grammar used to make context present tense. People would pick up on it being used as a cutesy character trait without having it awkwardly spelled out for them.

Either way, games with no actual plot do get a bit dull at times, of course; it can be hard to find out which games have a real plot and which just have a fake plot which hides a moege.

At least they tried to build a mystery around those elements instead of having them do nothing but play into your standard anime harem nonsense. It wasn't very good, but it was better than any other forgotten childhood friend subplot in VNs. The way they also melded the drama of the previous generation in with the current one was kind of interesting. I'm missing a ton of them, from glancing at the cheatsheet on the jap website, it seems like most of what I'm missing is from random stuff. I apparently somehow missed a ton of daily h-scenes, even though I pressed the rest button a ton and almost never got anything for it. I was missing a couple prisoner scenes but not many, as well as the scenes for beating Ayaka and Cass again because I never saw them, and then the XXX Books.
