i try using krm in hardcore, slide shotgunning someone in the face is a seminal feeling but the problem is you just know that 60-70% gunfights are unwinable because of youre range and if you miss one shot your dead anyway because it pumps so slow that you'll just get hosed down

Just keep connecting and disconnecting from games till you find one that doesn't lag. Rotating through gamemodes is a good idea so you don't get put into the same game constantly. I go TDM -> KC -> HQ until I find a game that doesn't lag and then stick to it till I get more sick of it than trying to find a good game. Can take like 10 tries to work but usually does in the end. Other alternative is to find a friend or two from the UK or something, join their party and make them find the game. That usually seems to result in lag free games for me. I play from Finland.

It's not ideal but at least it works till they fix their stupid shit, though I doubt they do.

I tend to use shotguns because the gameplay style that comes with them is rewarding. In BO2 I used the Judge revolver-shotgun as a primary weapon, and I'd still get people complaining that I killed them with it. Even though it was one of the least effective weapons in the game

High caliber lets me pop heads consistently when they headglitch at range. I'll hit them a few times in the head without HC and they don't die. Then I miss because of flinch and then I get killed. HC lets me avoid all that bullshit.

Stock is actually useful to me. The only difference is that you slow down when shooting + strafing. Laser is so I actually have a chance at killing SMG players that rush me and move too fast.

/vg/ I can't get gud with KB+M no matter how hard I try. I do ok with controller, usually get at least 1.8kdr but I can't aim with my damn mouse. I always pass over them when strafing.

the trick with the shotguns is to go with the second one that I can't remember the name of, it is just as inconsistent as the rest of the shotguns in the game (minus the haymaker which is worse in this regard) but has nearly no firing cap so if you don't get a OHKO just mash the button 2 more times and you'll get the kill

knifing is fun

I have no idea which gun to use in core, they all feel garbage to me after a while. The guns i see most are VMP,KN44 and M8A7 and they are like hitmark collectors when i use on the bullet sponge enemies.

Also i feel like the recoil on some assault rifles is fuckin shit from long distance even with the proper attachments.

Can someone just suggest me a combination to what to use?

What am i supposed to play after the patch? I was like always in the top 3 of my team i had a KDA above 1,5 all the fucking time and after the patch i barely get 1 KDA .
I dont have any weapon left i like to play, Haymaker is factual useless 3 hits to get a kill in short range is a laughabke ammount . Argus is so useless most of the time, every other weapon class has aim assists expect shotguns and you feel and see it everytime you play.
The first shotgun that was good in the Beta is only usefull in close combat below 1 meter but everything elese is shit.

And i dont want to play the Brecci yet again after 1200 kills with her.

The actual knife swing animation. They've made a new one for Black Ops 1, 2 and 3 but they only ever applied it to the default knife and not the Bowie Knife.
I remember in Black Ops 1 I'd actually miss knife swings because of the WAW animation causing some funky aim assist to occur.
They seem to have fixed that, but it still bothers me nonetheless that they can't be bothered to just update it to the same one that the regular knife uses.

Peaking around corners while flying is something worth knowing

Zombies are supposed to be mindless fun with pubs and friends, what you have now, thanks to everyone trying to do the "SECRET" is a situation where a new player that just starts playing has no fucking clue what he needs to do, or what his teammates are running around the map for

BUT if you ignore all that shit and just play the zombies to kill zombies, what you get is a huge lovely map with 4 interesting characters and spins
And yes it is included when you buy the game

You get Shadows of Evil as the only main zombies map and Dead Ops Arcade 2 as a sort of minigame zombies mode. The Gaint is a remake of Der Riese and you can only get it from purchasing a special edition or buying the season pass (i think)

This is HIGHLY dependent on the person as it may click with some but not with others. Nowadays zombies is much more complicated in the sense that there are easter eggs around every corner and you have a checklist to do for basic upgrading. It was alright. Gun balance was all over the place (bad), optimization was shitty and was never patched, but the movement was nice. Maps were alright, but a verticality was forced on pretty much all the maps to take advantage of the new movement (whether thats a bad thing is up to you).
Compare it to BO3, and all of the points I addressed are better. Balance could still definitely still use a lot of tweaking, but its already pretty damn good.
