In DAI how can I make it so there isn't such a huge dent in my character's face in between the lips and the chin? Like the lower lip area. I messed with all the sliders and nothing really seemed to change it. It bugs me how far in it's pushed though and there's always a really big shadow there. I can't imagine it's supposed to be like that by default but I can't find any way to change it short of pushing his whole lower lip way out which makes him look retarded.

I just finished my first play-through.

Trespasser was fucking excellent. Everything about it was top notch, the combat encounters, the locations, the huge lore revelations. The final fight was actually good, unlike Corphyeus.

So 4 is going to be set in Tevvinter and spent massacring Elves? Sweet. Solas is going to be a solid antagonist.

I intend to go again and take it slower, which class is more entertaining and useful, dual wield rogue or 2h warrior?

Yeah, level 15 was after clearing Hinterlands/Mire/Stormcoast then one thing in Orlais. The gameplay got stale on both characters, and being "good" isn't really that interesting and keeps sticking me with choices like the Iron Bull mission where there's no right answer. A lot of the characters are painful to have to listen to, so I've boiled it down to Solas, Iron Bull, Blackwell, and iffy on Cassandra and Cole that I'm willing to use.

I'm caught between wanting to play something interesting and there idea that an Inquisitor should probably be a upstanding, non-rogue, human. Most of the romance options seem pretty shitty, except Josephine and Solas. I've "rode the Bull" which was a good quick laugh, and Blackwall is beyond boring.

I'm just trying to figure out what is going to keep me playing through to see the rest of the game.

I'm thinking about getting the 2nd tier focus skills

The Inquisitor can prove to Solas that people are worth saving. Thus it is not impossible to show Solas he can live in this world without destroying it. He just feels burdened and gets guilt tripped when he sees all the old ruins.

He seems to have put this uncomfortable distance between himself (an old elf from older times) and the situation for the elves as they are now (Little better than humans with pointy ears and more magical potential). He seems deadset on continuing the path he's chosen, and it may be impossible, even with convictions, to stop him peacefully.

But knowing Bioware, they probably won't go the Architect route and make it impossible to make him back down peacefully. AND, considering how they deal with DA games, having a new Protage each game, I doubt a Romanced Solas has any impact, because you likely (and hopefully) won't be playing the Inquisitor.

Yeah, I figured the Romanced Solas or Befriended Solas is just to get more lore out of him.
But I do think they'll give us an option to imprison him and not kill him.

Seems like if there was a new game, bioware would probably recognize that killing a hell-bent Solas no matter what would probably anger the Solaswive fans, who are pretty vocal.

regardless of whatever you or I want, I think putting in an option to save/redeem Solas would be an obvious choice, if there is a next game. They could probably circumvent him being 'the final boss' by having another elven god make it in to the world somehow instead ((Solas' ritual only kind of works/jumps through veil tear, whatever)), like Elgar'nan or one of the other big bad ones.

That actually is plausible. People forget that the Old Gods are still up there, alive, and they HATE Solas. I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up teaming up with him to stop them. Better yet, if we end up teaming up with the Old Gods to stop Solas.

He gives you a choice, but he makes a very compelling argument, and since he is also known as a trickster it felt very iffy to me by the end of it all.

I'm pretty sure that scene is unlocked after you do both the Ball + Grey warden quests, or perhaps after the mirror thing, and seeing as you've basically crippled Cory's chances of taking over the world at that point, I'd say it's a safe bet he thought we had a good chance.

You had to succeed over Cory during the main game anyway, if you failed then Solas pretty much loses his chance to reform the fade because Cory would have gotten in already and would be a god.

I'm reasonably sure that we did get some kind of side codex from a third party though about the origin of the whole "dread wolf" "trickster" titles being used by the other elven gods so that he would look like the bad guy, and even if they hated Solas at that point because he had basically broken the world as they knew it, they would also have no reason to lie about why he got those names.

We have those in addition to the accounts of what his actual cause was. Solas admitted to destroying everything, he never lied about that. So that further supports what he was saying.

I don't believe Solas was trying to trick Inquisitor, and especially if you romance him he goes out of his way to say "No matter what happens I want you to remember that what we had was real."
I thought about that line over and over, and it just seemed impossible for their to be trickery in it. It showed that there could be truth in his words, it was telling you that you will face the truth and learn who I am, the trickster: Fen'Harel, but how I felt was no trick.

That's why romancing Solas gets you so much out of the storyline, it's so weird how it can do that. If you don't romance Solas, basically you'd come out as one of the angry anons who say he needs to be burned alive and is a huge scumbag. This begs the question as to why they even added the option to romance one of the next antagonists.

Inquisition was written for a human protagonist because EA originally hadn't given Bioware enough time to work on it. We were basically going to get another DA2 until DA2 bombed and EA actually learned from it.

If you end the story being on the wrong side of Solas, you lose a bit of depth. So which one is canon? All the elven you spoke, and "supporting" his cause. That was just so in touch with the lore and game, it seems like a perfect fit, as if you weren't meant to play as anything else.

Well you did have different options of dialogue to see. If you pressed the option to say "Yes, that's right" after Solas says "what is it your people say, don't let the dread wolf take you." He apologizes in elvish Ir abelas, to which you reply Tel'abelas or you're not sorry. And the look on his face is just heartbreaking. I went for a second time through Trespasser to click another option, and the more sorrow you poor into it, the more you can see him pained by it.

This is why the romance seemed so crucial, he actually speaks out about his feelings about what he's doing and what he's letting go.
