I manually laid out the foundation and made it pixel accurate to the pre-existing house foundation. then you just work from there. some types of blocks only connect to some others and it's a huge clusterfuck with no indication of which, however i'm finding that after about a good 10 hours of dedicated building i now have the hang of it and can move much faster. it's really just practice you have to learn what shit connects together

Story and writing is utter shit, but just like previous 3D fallouts those are not the things that make it fun anyway. The much broader customization makes the game for me, my biggest gripe about FO3 and Skyrim was things like armor being a singular one-piece items. There's a helmet on the Prydwen in the armoury. You need to pick the master lock door or hack the master terminal, I think you need to do it while hidden or they turn against you, I can't confirm that though.

I just used a stealth boy and opened it, the guy behind the counter wont be hostile if you go in there but he will be if you take the helmet so you have to physically pick it up, walk downstairs to a secluded space and then steal it there. There's also a bunch of other shit to steal in there like the Gauss Rifle

So Ive got a run planned that I think will be fun.
I call it "The Crazy Homeless Dude" run. Heres the lowdown.

First: All points go into E, L, P or S. You chose how you spread them.. You can start putting points into I and A later if you wish, but no C. Make your character look as nuts and homeless as you can.

So how it goes is this. 1. You cant buy anything. Everything you get must come from kills or the wild. You cant sell anything either.
2. You can only enter cities or talk to people for quests. You always pick the asshole or sarcastic options in dialogue.
3. Every time you get home, Hangman Alley is a good one, you must use all the Chems and Alcohol you have collected. Radaway, Rad-x and stimpaks are nor included in this.
4. No building anything that needs science. All perks should go into crafting, fighting, endurance or lockpick. Basically nothing that needs smarts.
No companions but for Dogmeat if you want.
If you get into the institute, shoot the first scientist that annoys you and escape.
Piss off the brotherhood too.
If you choose anyone, choose the Railroad, but you could just shoot them too.

Remember, violence is always the best option.

Nothing can trap NPCs in. I once built a metal shack and when I popped the door into place it immediately swung open and dogmeat came out, even though I know for a fact he wasn't in there beforehand. Is there any possible way to get FO4 running at a constant 60 fps. Zero drops at 1080p on an i5 and r9 390?

I dropped most settings and still cannot get over 45-50 staring at cities. Sucks when you get sudden drops into the 40s which stutter your camera movement even though 90% of the time you can push 100+ fps.

You can also block melee attacks while using a gun with bash. You can instant-counter as well, 1 hit killing some enemies, suplexing some others.

Hangman's Alley is the most comfy place for having a house.
