Farm up a Red Goblin, he'll help you make extra red orbs from hearts. Try to get him skilled up.
Green goblins can be good too, they refresh your board, so if you don't have enough colors you hit him and get it refreshed.

Chocobo is a good amount of HP for your team, and he's really cheap.
Parvati is good for your leilan team early game once you get some more team cost. Thumbelina actually goes nice with parv later, but don't put thumb on your leilan team since she gets rid of fire

I think the purpose of the latent awakenings, functionally, is to make you stand out for best friend selection, and friend usage.

A pal machine roll that gets you a mythical dungeon evo material is, if you think about it, worth almost 50 stamina, or 4 hours. Many pal machine rolls can save you from spending your stamina on those dungeons, meaning you can use your stamina for me productive things than evo mat farming

My red sonia took over half a year of running mythical Thursday without stoning to max skill (with update to her skill cd it needs skilling again)

Meanwhile my verdandi and blue sonia both got max skilled in very few tries.

Also a lot of awoken evos are coming out and if you think about it, an awoken monster who requires a fully evolved card or two actually requires a LOT of evo mats
