So should I just give up on trying to use snipers as scouts with ELO sights? The lack of quickdraw, especially on the drakon, means you lose any 50/50 engagement with any auto with it

Can we talk about campaign? I just finished it and read some of the explanations and my head's still reeling.

So basically the campaign was nothing? Nothing actually happens in real life after the player's death. That's kind of lame.

No other specialist weapon is effected by flak jacket, not the gravity spikes, the grenade launcher or my favourite bullshit the Purifier

the perk selection in this game is pretty weak again so i run the same setup on all classes

The rest of perk 1 are useless, on perk 2 fast hands can be considered when running sniper and tracker can be considered when playing S&D
Perk 3 has the most semi useful perks, but 3 are for S&D only, one is for run&gun with shotgun and SMG and one is for actively being the killstreak destroyer

It's really good. Story is mindfuck tier good and multi is very nice too. Specialist is similar to Overwatch classes I think where you have an ability that charges through the game and can be very satisfying to use. Also double jumping/ wall running/ sliding straight out of Titanfall. Last COD I played was Blops 1 so for me that's a very refreshing experience.

Personally, I liked some of the new restrictions (like thruster abilities being tied to the same two loadout slots as abilities like swapping weapons in the field) which require you to play to a certain weapon/playstyle, allowing co-op players to play to their strengths while their teammates support their weaknesses. Not to mention the addition of boss encounters. Quite frankly, it doesn't feel like a Call of Duty game, which I think is why I'm enjoying it so much.

As for the state of the PC release, such a thing is inexcusable. What's even more perplexing is how this is coming from Treyarch, who pushed out an above-the-market average PC version of Black Ops 2.

Eh, Haymaker is the one weapon in the game that just feels completely easy-mode for me, I can get good k/d and consistently get all of my killstreaks and all I have to do is run around and spray from the hip.

Core AND Hardcore.

In core you need to be smarter and outmaneuver your enemies so you can get the 3-5 shots needed for a kill (depending on range). You are definitely at a disadvantage at very close range because it will never kill in one shot in core, but the farther you are while stil being in the effective range, the easier it is to get a kill somehow.

In HC it's basically whoever sees the person first kills that person. There are rarely second chances, and I'm pretty sure the Haymaker is at maximum a 2-shot kill in HC, even with a suppressor.

I switch primary weapons a lot but I always use Flak Jacket and Tactical Mask. I often use a lot of attachments, I especially like Quickdraw, Fast Mags, Adjustable Stock, anything that makes me feel faster. I can't stand the default reload times and I never have success camping very long.

Shit like UAV just feeds me 75 points, so why would I want to do the same for the enemy? Anything too high takes too long to earn. Why would I want to take forever earning something that might get me 4 kills when I can use lesser score streaks on a constant basis? Also, you have to be playing against some really worthless people for RAPS to be of any use. Not a single one will be deployed if you use them against me.

My only complaint with this game is that it's sometimes hard to tell who's on your team since both teams use the same specialists. In BO2 you would know right away because the teams had different outfits.

Sometimes I really wonder how people can just deal with not having a pistol as their secondary.

When I run out of ammo and quickly pull out my pistol to pop the faggot in the head it just feels too reliable to swap it out for a rocket launcher than can shit on an air unit. Then again, I mostly play team deathmatch.

It made more sense in BO2 because the levels were flatter, tighter, more linear. Now there's so much open space due to the new movement that you die if you go outside. I haven't played Ghosts but it seems neo-IW haven't unlearned the crucial lesson MW1&2's campaigns taught and Treyarch fucked up: DON'T TAKE THE PLAYER'S CONTROL AWAY.

MW3's campaign was an uninspired fangame of "Remember that? We can do it too!" in dull brown rubble environments, but it kept you killing and the ending was excellent, as well as their twist on Mile High Club when the plane hits turbulence for a zero-gravity shootout (and later splits in half).

Theoretically, could a sniper with FMJ let me take people out through cover while Outrider's vision pulse lets me easily spot them? Does this seem like a viable tactic?

I need to know guys are the challenges for unlocking a specialist bugged. I'm trying to get Hornet on Outrider.
In the game prior to my match I had 4/20 (blaze it) enemies tagged then killed yet after the game in which I counted was 3 tagged enemies that I killed it didn't count towards my outfit.

I'd understand if it had some sort of small area it patrolled, but I've seen it roam around the fucking map at random. 90% of the time enemies are just running past it and directly behind it and shit and it just strolls along not giving a fuck.

I don't like controlling it because it's so fucking slow and unless you're defending mid in domination or something you won't have a lot of people to shoot at. But even still, shit around that level of score isn't any better.

I hate all the kill streaks really, none of them are particularly worthwhile, especially since the moment you call in anything airborne it's shot down immediately.

I'm only rank 30 so I haven't unlocked it yet or some of the later killstreaks worth getting so right now I'm using both the talon and cerberus as my two highest streaks.

Since I don't have anything higher up worth shooting for I just use them as fire and forget and let them do their own shit while I continue rampaging around the map myself.

I'm not sure if you can have two cerberus up at once or what but I distinctly remember having 2 cerberus and a talon up at once, and like 10~ seconds later my first cerberus disappeared though I don't know if it was because it ran out of power, got destroyed, or it just took a while to disappear after the new one got called in.

That was a pretty fun game.

A friend gifted me MW3 a while ago and I've been trying to get into but holy shit I don't even know what to do. Everyone's running around with two of those suitcase guns that like two-shot you and I die so quickly I can't even do anything about it. I haven't played much CoD (the only other game I've really played was black ops 2), can anyone give me some tips? Also, when I played black ops 2 I really liked using rocket launchers to shoot down UAVs and shit, but when I try it in MW3 I can barely see the UAVs. Any advice on that?

Also, because black ops 3 is the hot new thing, is the PC port any better now? Have they patched anything? I got it at launch and and it ran atrociously, but I couldn't tell if that was cause of my computer (I'm traveling a lot so I have to use a laptop; I have an i7, 8 gigs of RAM, and a radeon r7 M260X; systemrequirementslab made it seem like I'd be able to run it decently) or cause of the port, so I just refunded it. I just tested it on my laptop with I5-4200M 2.5 GHz, 6GB RAM and a 750M and i have to put it in 800x600 to get 60FPS with 80FOV and everything on absolute low. For comparison i can run BO2 +100 FPS in 1920x1080 on medium with this laptop so optimization is still shit.

The only reason they're even relevant at all is their games still manage to be the most fun out of the 3 devs. My advice is to not take Treyarch games seriously at all. One example is the bullets hitting their target. At the worst, bullets will not be counted, even if they clearly hit their target. I have seen this many many times in my own non theater mode recordings. My videos show this occurring. The incidence rate of this seems to go up the more laggy fucks join your game.

The more common and arguably just as bad effect is late hit markers. You shoot, the bullet does hit, but the game takes a little bit longer than it should to tell you it hit. This can fuck your aim beyond belief, because you instinctively assume that if you didn't get the hit marker within a certain amount of time, then you are not on target, so you begin to adjust your aim. Unknown to you, you WERE on target, so your readjustment is actually taking your aim off target, or in a non optimal position to track them as they move, etc.

Now combine the 2 above in the context of multiple targets. From experience, you know a person should die in X amount of bullets. Because the TTK is so low, you can't waste time continually spraying into one person waiting for the game to stop dropping bullets and finally kill them. All you can do is fire the X amount of bullets into the person and move on to the next ASAP. If the game decides to drop one of those bullets, you're dead. You've already moved on and cannot return to finish that guy off because you're already on top of the next guy. Most likely you're dead, unless they're both awful. Even on single targets this is frustrating because in an effort to conserve ammo and generally be ready for the next fight ASAP, you don't want to use more than you have to. A lot of times I'll put the appropriate amount into someone, pull off, and then have to quickly jerk back to make up the difference for whatever amount of damage the game decided to bullshit me out of.

The videos are for me first, other people second. I enjoy making and watching videos. I enjoy watching videos, and since I'm hardly a unique person, I have to assume some people enjoy watching videos, so I upload videos for them.

But sure, I'm clearly in it just to make a quick buck off youtube, which is why I have precisely 10 videos posted in the span of the past 3 years.

This general is pretty cancerous honestly but I should have expected it knowing the CoD community. First general I've ever seen that doesn't appreciate someone posting unedited gameplay footage. I guess when you consider CoD is infested by 13 year old "gameplay commentators" they get a little competitive when someone posts gameplay.
