I feel like buying plays kinda ruins the fun of it. The one free play (or as of late, the two free plays from playing practice catcher) feel like you're putting it all on the line for a single badge you really want, and if you buy a lot of plays you'll probably done with a set in no time.

Just the feeling of slowly building your collection one badge or so, day-by-day, seems to give the game a special kind of longevity, especially since sets are being pulled out, replaced, and we're already so much behind the Japanese sets offered right now.

Well, I finally got around to beating New Super Mario Bros 2. It was pretty good. I got all the star coins on the levels I found, but I'm pretty sure I missed some secret exits.

I probably am going to now try to finish Super Mario 3D Land. I am trying to move forward in the list of games I've bought.

I noticed Harmo Knight is on the Recommended Games List, I own Harmo Knight, but I found it very boring compared to other rhythm games like Rhythm Heaven. Does it get better?

I started with the 3ds xl and moved on to a new 3ds xl and then a Japanese n3ds.

I really liked the 3ds xl when I got it. Big ass screen and the 3D is good but the speakers kinda sucked at loud volume and it was a little heavy.

The NewXL boots faster, it boots menus and apps faster. The 3D works way better and you don't get that darkening effect when you move it around. It's lighter and the buttons are softer. The speakers also don't distort at higher volumes like the XL. Only problem I have with it is that they removed the physical wireless toggle switch, but the system runs slightly faster that pressing home and turning it off in the menu isn't that big of a deal.

If you do get a NewXL, make sure to get a new microSD card (fastest you can, 32GB is fine but if you have lots of digital then 64GB is great), format it, and transfer your old SD content to the new one, for a faster data transfer. Transferring all your data by wireless will be SLOW.

Also having two 3ds is comfy when you can charge one and pop a cartridge in the other. (Also making an identical Mii for your other system for street pass pranks)
