I've been out of the loop for a very long time, but i might have returned and i want to make a mage.

I have noidea what situation the servers or the factions are in so can anyone tell me which server and what faction it is preferable to make a mage on?

I don't want to spend days or weeks playing to only later find out that oh, something or other is completely fucked and i should have rolled somewhere else.

The PvE server has not only less players, but more imbalanced factions. There's also less to do (no WPvP). I would roll PvP, better faction balance, superior population, there is always something going on. Don't think that there isn't any raiding because it's a PvP server either.

Try relogging, try restarting WoW, if you spammed login after you d/c'd wait 10-30 minutes because you got ddos locked out
