I'm trying to install some CIA roms on my 3DS using the FBI Injector app and it keeps telling me that the database doesn't exist.

I googled it and they tell told me to go to the system settings and generate the game file database and then to manually create a dbs directory with a title.db and import.db file (manually created by just renaming a blank txt file to them), but it still isn't working for me.

What do I do?

That didn't fix it either. When I go to the Eshop it does prompt me that data on the SD card is corrupt and then it sends me to the system settings where it asks says

"The SD Card software-management information is corrupted. Reset it Now? This will delete all software and save data"

If an exploit were to be released today it would most likely work on 10.3 and below.
But Nintendo has been all over this shit since 9.3, so I really wouldn't expect an exploit in the near future. Firmware 11.0 could potentially fix all the holes, even at the expense of blacklisting Cubic Ninja if they really wanted.

How would I go about doing a clean wipe of tubehax from my 3DS? After months of not using the system I recently booted it up to play some MH4U but I can't update the game or absolutely anything. (Obviously due to the fact the hack has been updated over this time - It's just I have zero interest in using it anymore)

I don't think DSLite R4s work. If it does, you'll need the timewarp .cia. If it doesn't, you'll need some R4i or DSTwo card for DS games.

Pretty much everything from 3DS works on 2DS. Just know that, when following a tutorial to install a CFW, there will be a step about downgrading MSET. DO NOT DOWNGRADE IT TO 4.x, THIS WILL BRICK YOUR CONSOLE. Either skip that step (only if you have a cartridge to update to 9.2) or downgrade MSET to 6.x instead.

The easy way is to buy/borrow a game cartridge with the update (Cooking Mama for EU, Smash Bros for NA).

The harder way is to install CFW with the tutorial you posted then use rxTools' sysupdater. If you do this, read many tutorials and ask questions before starting the process, it can cause bricks if you mess up along the way.

Convenience. Being on 9.2 means you can autoboot your CFW. If you are below that, you'll need to start normally and then trigger an exploit (normally the DS Mode exploit, which needs to be re-done every time you play a DS game).

That's really the only point. You can play everything even if you don't update, don't worry.

rxTools can play GBA and DSiWare games. DS games still require a flashcart.

I had that Knuckles toy when I was a kid, it was a McDonald's happy meal toy.

Guess I can't say much until the PoC is released, but generally with downgrading your system will need to have been on 9.2 at some stage in it's life for the downgrade to actually work.
