Quite miserable, actually. I have been having sleep issues since last year, but this last week was by far the worst. I can't sleep more than 3-4 hours at night and then sleep the whole day, without realizing, just waking up suddenly, then I couldn't study, or play something or even go to /ksg/.
Yesterday, I spent the whole day practically sleep-walking, then I tried to watch a Fallout 4 stream and kept waking up without remembering to go to sleep, then I timed how long I was lasting awake to see. Around 30 seconds to one minute.
But I think I'll be able to fix it, I just woke up from a 4 hour nap and yet I'm still sleepy, so I hope I can sleep at night.

Aside from this, I think I'm OK but I don't remember almost anything from this week, it's just a mess that feels like one long day.

I think the point is that Hisao felt the same way you did: it's kinda obvious something happened to her father, but you won't know exactly, people won't tell directly to you until Emi decides to open up. The player is "let in the dark" by Hisao thoughts, but he probably thinks about it, we just don't read it by design.

I don't think something like "last words" would be cool. The thing is, Emi closed herself because she lost her father, which make it seems like losing both of her legs doesn't even matter, the thing that affected her the most isn't even apparent and she doesn't want anybody to realize that. In my opinion there's a lot of substance in that.

I think you might be right. He reminds me of a sociopath. The way he talks to himself in his head feels like he is convincing himself that he has emotions instead of having them. He also lacks a lot of skill in terms of deducing others' state of mind. Maybe that is just a limit of the visual novel (or any literature) medium. I also get that impression with most reading material where the main character explains their state of mind.
