What's the point in playing the game if you can always imagine :) everything? Why await the conclusion when you can imagine :) the ending you want? Why care at all what will happen to the supporting cast when imagination :) will make it all better?

Jesus fucking Christ, nobody's asking them to provide a detailed description of the characters' daily lives. A brief epilogue (X decided to become %profession_name%, Y moved to Z with their family, etc.) would've sufficed and made the ending more satisfactory. And yes, in the game where most of your choices affect the supporting cast, knowing what happened to them adds a lot to the feeling of accomplishment every game should strive to achieve.

But all I'm saying is that people here tend to treat the phrase 'use your imagination :)' as if it were the dev's attempt to cop out on any explanations for anything at all about the game. And that's just not the case, because all they were talking about was what takes place after the game.

So if you want to use the phrase 'use your imagination :)' to object to the lack of closure, okay, that works. But using it to object to why they didn't tell Joyce about the tornado or any other shit like that doesn't work, because that's simply not what they were talking about.

I'm not so much upset that they don't give us any future view into their lives, it's that what they did show just seemed shitilly done. At the very least they could have shown some indication of affection between Max and Chloe for the PriceFielders, but instead you get the same exact ending as you'd get if you never sided with her and chose to ship the c.uck. A little lean on the shoulder or having them hold eachothers hands is all I really could ask for for those of us who did ship her, with a slideshow of pictures of them starting over together being icing on the cake.

Actually, not being satisified with the ending is exactly why at least I am still here. The game didn't provide proper closure for most of anything it had established and got popular for throughout. I'm waiting for some official statements, some findings in datamining, some theory that somehow notices some comnnection we haven't, maybe some evidence in the dream pointing to Rachel, an announcement for a second season that potentially ties on to what the first didn't finish, even just headcanoned fanart, ... - just anything to give me closure. Hell, if dontnod even just went and said "that's all for now guys; no planned announcements, no further information, no extra material, nothing" I would have a way easier time letting go.
