Playing as a tribal norse dude, already got a decently sized kingdom of Sweden.

Now I vassalized a bunch of single county dudes next to me which put me over the vassal limit. So I'm thinking I'm really clever and simply created two duchies, thinking that this would decrease my vassal count.

Which it did, but somehow only by two while at the same time I lost a bunch of vassal limit in total.

I didnt spend at all on aircraft. I belive the trick is to rush to help belgium those forests on river are crucial to holding out. Also the brits showing up is very helpful I almost didnt hold in fact Germany punched through the maginot line at one point at the very begging and I almost didnt take it back. By 44 it was a straight stalemate and I switched to building IC and nuclear reactors since I was running low on manpower. Then the SU invaded the germans didnt move a single division to stop them until they took Berlin I barely was able to reach the rheine before the commies showed up. Also neither America or Italy joined the war.

Rate my Sultanate of Syria. I managed to seize Damascus from the Caliph after a disasterous defeat at Ascalon. I occupied the capital while using a predominantly Bulgarian army to clear out the remnants of his forces. After succession I reclaimed the Greek emirate in Galilee as a tributary. Al-Wathiq spared no time in showing his strength by conquering Armenia from under the Khazar King there. I plan to eat Galilee in pieces and give it to my third son.

At this point I should seriously assess swearing fealty to the Caliph. The Byzantines are ruled by a twenty-four-year-old with two successful holy wars already. The old northern Levantine Emirates are gone and with them a large amount of security. Antakiyya has been Muslim for decades and shortly after its conversion became the center of Levantine culture and higher thinking. Still, however, I don't think a holy war for Antioch would be above the Emperor.

A fight with the Caliph would be exhausting and Damascus is not nearly as defensible the counties in the mountainous west. I want to resist the Bedouin but I also need the Fatimid Emiriate of Damascus, which could mean a war for lower crown authority before real conquests. What should I do?

Alright, after the second test run everything seems to be working fine so here it is, the third revision of my America Minimod is ready for /gsg/ to try out. If you're using the minimod and you think you've found a bug or something out of the ordinary, go ahead and post it in the thread and mention that it's the america minimod and I'll probably take a look at it.

Major changes include:
-Rearranged, redrew, repositioned Mexican regions and provinces to be more faithful to their existent counterparts.
-Redid terrain in Canada, United States and in Mexico.
*California now has the Central Valley.
*Added Great Basin, Mojave, Sonoran, and Chihuahuan deserts.
*Extended Appalachian and Rocky Mountains.
-Events related to Dominican War of Independence and the Annexation of Santo Domingo.
-Switched RGOs in France, India, and China from cotton to others and increased price of cotton at start.
-Added flavor related to Reconstruction to make it more dynamic and gives the player different options as to how they want the
cultural make up of their USA game to look like.

The event for Brazil you mentioned, however, already exists. I added it a long time ago. There's a few events for Brazil I made but I made them a long time ago and I need to revise them.

usually you use vassals as province-coring machines or a buffer zone between you and an enemy

feed them a decent amount of land, then annex them so you don't have to deal with unrest or have to sink admin points that you didn't need to sink in conquering the land just beyond them.

Sometimes people will keep good vassals around and make them marches for additional military might when they're at force limit. not sure how viable this strategy is.

Lad. Your division composition as France along the Belgian border should be inf, arm, arty at least. It's a fucked up division composition but it works really well for holding the Krauts off long enough until you have the manpower to do a dank blitzkrieg once the SU invades (just upgrade your arty and infs.) Don't bother with planes other than a few interceptors.

Just finished a run as France and it was basically just me and the UK vs the Axis until pearl harbor happened in late 43.

There were some tank brigades in there but no tank divisions. You cant make tank divisions before at least 1941 as france. I had some tanks by the end but the soviets blitz so fast when they did and the german AI must have been bitter cause they never had less then 40 divisions per province even as the commies took berlin. Also as I said mixed mod which buffs germany quite hard.
