Literally how do you change the FoV. I've changed both the .ini and prefs in documents by copy-pasting the fDefaultWorldFOV=90
fDefault1stPersonFOV=90 directly under Display, and the prefs in the steam common folder.

Also is there no brightness/gamma slider since this shit is hurting my eyes.

Anyone know how population grows in settlements? Are there only a finite number of "Settlement ready NPCs" in the world you have to harvest and send somewhere? If you build a nice settlement do unnamed (Or randomly named) NPCs show up to join? Does each "Settlement spot" have a limited number of NPCs attached to it, like the retard crew and Sanctuary?

I'm curious if I'll be able to make a big castle surrounded by melon fields tended by my peasants.

Does anybody else feel like some of the settlements are too big?

The sanctuary is pretty big and seems like it would be a fucking nightmare to defend unless I build a big fence all around the perimeter. Thanks to Bethesda though, if the ground is slightly uneven the fences will float in the air when I connect them together.

I'm not very far into the game but I really hope there are some settlement areas with a nice flat area around it so I can build proper defences.

I've been trying on 4GB RAM, 650, and a 2.9ghz AMD dual core. I mean, it ran Skyrim pretty well.
Not much luck though. It'll be smooth enough just standing around, but the slowdowns in combat and stuttering when loading cells are too much. Interiors have the worst performance, surprisingly.

Alright, having finished what seems to be the opening tutorial of the game and just reached the point where I'm hitting the open road.

What am I supposed to do with the power armour now? I love how they've done it this time around where it functions completely different to normal equipment and is a proper mech suit that you get into with a nice animation - they've done a great job of making you feel like you're inside a machine. When you jump off the building and it goes FWUMP and bounces a little as it hits the ground, you feel very powerful. Great stuff.

Anyway back to my dilemma over what to do with the suit now - I take it from the intro and marketing I can leave it in the garage I found on the way which will serve as some sort of base? Since the power armour isn't just equipment it doesn't seem like you can just lug it around with you at all times. So I either leave it there or commit to walking around in it all the time?

I need help. Every time I go to start a new game I get the loading screen for a bit then the screen cuts to black the game closes and I get the message "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered". I've been looking online for solutions all night but have found nothing that works. I'm getting a new PC in a few weeks so it's not a huge deal but I'd like to be able to play this in the meantime. I've never had this problem with any other game so are these specs just too shitty to run F4 at all or is it just a problem with the game itself?

I'm playing full sneak and having no problems. The two most important parts of my kit so far are a pipe sniper rifle I found and molotovs/grenades.

Plink people down with the rifle. Take out groups with grenades/molotovs.

Remember you can toggle walk or stutter-step to avoid detection, and hold alt with scoped weapons to hold your breath and eliminate weapon sway at the cost of AP.

Outside Corvega are two boxes with grenades and mines in them, both up on towers on top of the building or next to it. Use those to handle groups of enemies.
