People use blood tap because it's under manual control which is essential for conducting yourself in a raid properly, you can actually get higher theoretical dps if you get really lucky with procs on RC, obviously the other one is just complete garbage that no one should ever use ever. But people take it so you can do things like bank charges for soul reaper and of course the biggest factor is its use in Breath of Sindragosa which is far in a way the most engaging aspect of death knight play in a long time.

how would your choices matter if they don't change based on the encounter and remain the same throughout, that by definition renders your choices far less relevant.

Next being able to talent within a spec doesn't increase class homogenization because its not automatically homogenous just because you can change it, that's pants on head retarded.

Then if you want to make specs defined and not have any homogeneity, therefore making them only good at some encounters why the fuck would you remove dual spec? So people have to run all the way back to their trainer on a fight by fight basis to change their spec for the different fight because they can no longer alter their toolkit within the spec to suit the encounter.

I can only speak of pally viewpoint, also I'm more PvP oriented.
As For PvE paladins have a lot of retard proof talents in all specs, which you can change into more interesting ones but theose actually require effort, which a lot of pallys can't manage.
Your best bet is prot pally for pve, you can't fuck it up even if you try to do so.

For PvE I think holy is Ok, but boring imo, good single target heals, but go for druid if you want group heals.

I don't really like ret for PvE because its extremely simplified since final verdict fags. You don't do much damage and its all about "when will divine storm proc?" casino bullshit. Your dps is like a rollercoaster During aveging wrath and Holy avenger you top DPS chart, then you sweat blood to try to manage your dps while these are on cds. (thats why I like Sanctificed wrath, due to its more stable, but still it falls off, just not as much).

The new talents have one chief problem though: Lvling a new character is fucking bland.

Back in the day gaining a level at least felt like you're advancing your character. But with today's progression you can go 10 levels without any new spells or talents.

I must have quested in azshara over 30 times and I've only got past the goblin minefield quest chain twice, because every time I hit 15 i queue a dungeon, hit 20 and am forced into ashenvale. scaling zones in the old world and I wouldn't give two shits about character development or difficulty.
