Putting aside whether or not it's actually going to be a useful enough change to actually do anything for Paladin, I think it's pretty funny that they said "We're not going to improve Paladin DPS, but we are going to help their TP sustainability", and then it turns out that the changes basically make their TP issues worse unless they're off-tanking, and actually do improve their DPS by a percentage that would be seen as really significant on any other class.

Q: Are there any plans to add a feature where any item you obtain once is recorded in some sort of a directory, and even if you get rid of that equipment, you can use a glamour prism on anything in the directory? With a feature like this, users could create a lot more room in their inventories.
A: Yoshida: If that were possible, it would be easier to just increase inventory space. Every player would have to acquire item obtainment information data, which would be very difficult.

So Paladins are bad?

I'm relatively new to the game and PLD is the highest lvl job I have with WHM close behind. I enjoy the tanking but is Warrior just a better choice overall? Can someone explain to me why? I don't have enough experience with mmos in general to understand these things.

Also, as far as tanking goes, is this what I should be doing?
I usually:

Spread your combo around. Fast blade one, savage blade another, rage of Halone a third, then switch it up so you hit each mob with different parts of the combo. Fast blade provides no extra enmity, savage blade and rage of Halone have enmity bonuses(RoH more than SB), so keep that in mind. If you can put a RoH debuff on each physical-damage enemy, great, less damage for you to mitigate and less pressure on the healer(plus more enmity on each enemy).

The meta right now for tanking is straight up DPS, and PLD has the weakest DPS out of the three tanks. Most damage currently is also magic damage, which DRK excels at tanking, where PLD is a physical mitigation tank. It's really just not meta right now, it's not exactly terrible. If we get more heavy physical fights and less huge dps check magic damage fights PLD will see more play, but that really only matters for world progression people. At this point play whatever you want

Paladins are only bad because they have low DPS compared to warriors and dark knights. The current content is all about high DPS checks and tanks are expected to contribute. Paladins just don't have anything else to make up for their lack of DPS to be worthwhile. They also run out of TP the fastest.

Tanks do share a lot of gear though so it's not horrible to level and gear up another if you aren't satisfied with Paladin.
